Kylie and Dannii MinogueThe Minogue sisters are teaming up with fellow Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia, in London to honour the bushfire victims.
The trio along with several other high profile Australians, including Chic Lit author Kathy Lette plan to hold a memorial service so people can pay their respects.
Presenting at the Elle Style Awards, Imbruglia said she was also keen to stage a fundraiser to help those who had lost their homes.

(SN). Die 40-Jährige wurde zuletzt mit dem spanischen Model Andres Velencoso in Verbindung gebracht. Kylies Freundin, die Schriftstellerin Kathy Lette, sagt: „Andres geht nach wie vor mit Kylie aus und er ist sehr nett, aber ich glaube nicht, dass er der Wichtigste ist.“ Vielmehr habe die Sängerin noch andere Herren „auf dem Menü“, wie es Kathy ausdrückt. Kylie arbeite hart und wolle sich privat derzeit keine Einschränkungen auferlegen, erklärte die Autorin.
Für einen „Nebenfreund“ erhilet der 30-jährige Andres aber sehr viel Aufmerksamkeit. Es gab ein romantisches Abendessen im Restaurant seines Vaters samt anschließendem Strandspaziergang.

Stefan Raab als Multitalent zu bezeichnen, ist eine Untertreibung: Vor zehn Jahren (8. März 1999) trat der Mann mit dem breiten Grinsen seinen Dienst bei ProSieben an, seitdem kann er eigentlich nicht mehr geschlafen haben. Unter anderem hatte er Zeit für Wok-WMs, Stock Car Challenges, Turmspringen, Pokernächte, Boxkämpfe und natürlich 'Schlag den Raab' (ab 13.03. auch 'Schlag den Star'). Zudem sang er beim Grand Prix, schickte Nachwuchskünstler zum Selbigen, gründete seinen eigenen bundesweiten Songcontest und schrieb diverse Chart-Hits. Das alles veranstaltete Raab natürlich nebenbei: Moderiert er doch viermal die Woche 'TV total'.

Kylie MinogueGavin & Stacey stars James Corden and Matthew Horne have said that their fellow Brit Award host Kylie Minogue is the "perfect pop star".
The boys told the Sun that Kylie is a pleasure to work with and has no diva pretensions.
James said: "She's the perfect pop star, like Madonna's nice sister.
Mat added: "Whatever we do with Kylie, it should err on the side of silliness and should be quick. We did the NME Awards last year so we have had a bit of practice.
"We did a rap with Dizzee Rascal but I don't think we'll be rapping again. There is talk of a dance."
The comedy duo revealed that they were unlikely to repeat the incident seen at a previous Brit Awards show when Justin Timberlake groped Kylie's bottom.
James said: "You realise when you meet Kylie how she has stayed at the top of her game for so long -- she doesn't take herself or this stuff too seriously.
"She works really hard and she's genuinely really pleasant and polite to everyone.
"You don't feel like you're ever seeing a public Kylie Minogue and then a different Kylie, that's why people love her so much."

Russian court to hear lawsuit from disgruntled Kylie fan

MOSCOW, February 4 (RIA Novosti) - A St. Petersburg court is due to consider on Wednesday a 200,000 ruble ($5,500) lawsuit against the tour promoter of Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue's concert last summer filed by a disappointed Russian spectator.
The Russian NCA company was responsible for promoting Kylie's concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg last June. The shows were part of the singer's European tour to promote her 2007 X album.
A man from St. Petersburg, Stanislav Pazaratskas, who was so impressed by Minogue's Moscow concert and an advertisement he saw on the NCA website he bought a 3,500 ruble (around $100) ticket for the concert at the St. Petersburg's Ice Palace.
However, the man said he was left feeling frustrated as the concert in his hometown on June 18 was not as impressive as the Moscow concert, held two days earlier when Kylie flew in on a giant silver skull.
"As I imagined the singer flying under the roof, I had goose bumps on my body," Pazaratskas said. "This is the most expensive show in the world," he said. But when Pazaratskas realized that the long-awaited moment was not going to happen he became angry.
"I was interested only in the show," he said adding: "If the organizers had warned me beforehand that the show in St. Petersburg would differ from the Moscow show, there would have been no lawsuit."
The angry spectator has twice filed lawsuits against the agency with a district court in St. Petersburg. His third complaint was sent to a city court which referred the case to a district court.
However, the hearing did not go ahead on January 20 until the respondent name was changed after NCA said they were not responsible for the concert, which was organized by an affiliated company.

"Kylie herself could be said to look like a robot. A robot version of herself in human form, a version of herself manufactured in the minds of robots. The buildings around her might exist only in the imagination of the robots. The sound we hear, the soundtrack to her journey, might exist only inside the imagination of the robots." This is a vision of Kylie Minogue, spied driving in the video for "Can't Get You Out of My Head", as she figures throughout Paul Morley's brilliant 2003 book Words and Music: A History of Pop in the Shape of a City. Morley was writing in the wake of Kylie's monster hit and its attendant album Fever, both of which established Minogue as a mesmerizing figure fit for all manner of imaginings. She could be a minx, a glamor puss, an oblivious messenger, a wizened pop emblem. She could even be, as the storied post-punk critic Morley sketched in delirious detail, a worthy hero to measure against the most lionized icons of music as serious capital-a Art.
Part of Minogue's pliability owes to the way she seems to recognize and understand her many various roles, but part of it owes to her voice, which is simultaneously blank and playful-- the coy coo of a character who knows that she herself matters less than what her spirit (as Morley took pains to note) "might" or "could be said to" suggest. This is the Kylie who would figure into Boombox, a collection of remixes from 2000 to 2008. Or so it would seem.
Opener "Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head", one of the older tracks here, sets Minogue's best song against the instrumental backdrop of New Order's "Blue Monday". Her voice sounds a bit rootless, floundering in the best suggestive way. Listen closely and it's almost like Kylie knows she's implicitly conflicted within the rub of what plays now like a throwback to a time when mash-ups consciously toyed with the tension between source material and imaginary ideals.
It's a rich start, but unfortunately an anomaly in a collection that leans more often on less-interesting mixes that cast Kylie as little more than a dance siren. She's a good dance siren, to be sure. The Chemical Brothers' enticingly gaudy and patient remix of "Slow" gains a lot from the sly sensuality in her voice as it stretches out, and she sounds defiantly human within the constraining squeeze of Fischerspooner's lithe electro mix of "Come Into My World".
But too many tracks rate as generic "club" mixes that relegate Kylie to a mere bit player with little to say in the midst of overly splashy electro-house beats and trance-y longueurs. She sounds like a Gwen Stefani-aping cheerleader in Death Metal Disco Scene's mix of "Wow", and she's barely audible at all in Kid Crème's vocal dub of "Love at First Sight". It's as if the remixers, with so much at their disposal, thought less about what Kylie can signify than she herself seems to when adopting her own stock strategies.

The singer got up close and personal with one of her favoured fashion designers Jean Paul Gaultier at his Paris Fashion Week catwalk show last night.
Gaultier designed all of Kylie's costumes for last year's KylieX2008 tour and is a close friend of the singer.

In einem Interview hatte sie sich damals interessiert an einem gemeinsamen Projekt gezeigt: “Ich wünschte, ich wäre ein Mitglied der Wiggles. Team-up ... Kylie Minogue | Cheesily pleased ... The WigglesKYLIE MINOGUE has recorded a song with Aussie kids’ music group THE WIGGLES — after I revealed last year she was desperate to team up with the four cheesy lads in coloured tops.
Kylie wants to prove herself to two-year-old nephew Charles, son of her cameraman brother Brendan, who worships The Wiggles.
She stars on their new track Monkey Man, from upcoming album The Wiggles Go Bananas.
The group were last year Australia’s top-earning entertainers for a fourth year running, after banking £21million in 2007-8 from TV, shows, videos and albums.
Kylie said: “Now Charles really will think I’m cool. I hope he likes the song. It was fun to do. I might even grab a shirt and go on tour with the boys. I’m not sure what colour I will be.”
The group have also recorded with LEO SAYER and ROLF HARRIS.
So you’re in good company, Kylie.

27.01.2009Zwischen Kylie Minogue und Andres Velencoso Segura scheint sich etwas ernsteres anzubahnen. Um der Sängerin nah zu sein, will das spanische Männermodel jetzt sogar nach London ziehen. Allerdings wollen die beiden nach Berichten der britischen Zeitung “The Mail On Sunday” noch nicht zusammenziehen.
Dazu sagte ein Insider: “Andres will Kylie nicht entschlüpfen lassen. Er sucht nach einem Plätzchen für sich, weil er darauf besteht, dass er ihr nicht auf der Tasche liegen will. Er sucht online nach einem Studio in London.”

In den nächsten Monaten wolle sie sich mit den beiden in Australien treffen, so Minogue. In einem Interview mit der Zeitung "Herald Sun" sagte sie dazu: "Wir haben bereits in England damit angefangen, an einem Song zu arbeiten, haben uns aber noch nicht wirklich getroffen."

Kylie... winning adLONDON - An Agent Provocateur ad featuring Kylie Minogue in lingerie riding a bucking bronco machine has been voted the greatest cult cinema ad of all time.
The ad, by Mustoes, beat the Orange Gold Spot featuring Angelica Huston by Mother London and Maxell Tapes' "Break the sound barrier" by Downton Advertising, which took second and third place respectively in an online poll by the cinema sales house Digital Cinema Media.
Voters chose from a shortlist of ten ads which included Guinness "Surfer", Diet Coke "Break" and Carling Black Label’s "Dambusters".
The Agent Provocateur ad, which launched in 2001, was created specifically for cinema but also achieved enormous popularity virally.
Fleur Castell, the marketing and research controller for Digital Cinema Media, said: Cinema is about engaging and entertaining the audience, and this ad pulls off both elements perfectly in a fun and cheeky way.
