Kylie Minogue goes from off duty casual chic to on duty red carpet glamour
30.10.2009Kylie Minogue is the queen of the image stunning transformation.
Yesterday she flew into New York dressed much like a moody teenager in checked shirt, leather jacket and skinny jeans.
And with a nod to celluloid star Harry Potter, she topped off her outfit with a pair of thick rimmed glasses.
But dressed down Kylie did not last long, as hours later Miss Minogue did a customary quick change into a nude coloured origami shift dress to grace the red carpet at the First Annual Art Awards with Calvin Klein Collection & White Column.
From am to pm: Kylie Minogue swapped her dressed down travel look, checked shirt
and jeans, for a sleek nude-coloured shift dress and platform sandals at an art
event in New York last night
Pocket rocket: Kylie shows off her glamorous look from all sidesIt was a stunning makeover compared to the more casual look she adopted for the flight into the US. With her blown out hair, and carefully applied make-up, Kylie certainly scrubbed up well for her appearance at the art awards event.
Potter chic: Kylie's specs style appears to have
been inspired by wizard HarryEarlier she surprised with her specs look as the singer doesn't normally wear glasses.
But it seems the specs are more of a fashion statement than a medical requirement.
Her Australian compatriot Natalie Imbruglia was spotted out partying last week wearing a similar pair of goggles.
Kylie wore her version of the look as she arrived at New York's JFK Airport last night.
She was arriving in the city to continue her concert tour of the US.
It is her first tour of North America and will see her perform in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Oakland and Toronto.
Kylie's tour has been well received by critics, who praised the singer for managing to perform energetic dances while singing live.
Kylie's costumes on her new tour come from the catwalk collections of Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce And Gabbana.
Meanwhile, Kylie has been asked to return to Vegas after her one night show with the hope of extending it into a residency.
On Saturday viewers will see Kylie's sister Dannii talking about the star's battle with breast cancer.
Despite 41-year-old Kylie’s recovery, Dannii says the family remain cautious because she has not had the five-year all-clear check yet.
'Well, there’s the all-clear and there’s the all-clear. The proper one is the five-year all-clear and we’re not there yet.'
X Factor judge Dannii was talking to Piers Morgan on his show Life Stories on ITV1 at 10pm on Saturday.

Dannii Minogue breaks down as she recalls Kylie's cancer battle
29.10.2009
Dannii MinogueShe's clearly in a good place now, but Dannii Minogue has endured some tough times.
And one of the most upsetting was her sister Kylie's battle with cancer in 2005. That much was clear as she broke down in tears while recalling the harrowing experience during an interview with Piers Morgan.
The X Factor judge welled up with emotion when she spoke of the moment she arrived back at the family home in Australia after being told of her pop star sister's plight.
"All I wanted to do was get inside the door of the family home and see my gorgeous sister and hug her," said the 38-year-old in emotional scenes to be shown on Piers Morgan's Life Stories on ITV1 this Saturday.
Despite her sister's recovery, Dannii says the family remain cautious because she has not had the five-year all-clear check yet.
"Well, there's the all-clear and there's the all-clear. The proper one is the five-year all-clear and we’re not there yet."
Dannii also recounted how she turned to posing for Playboy magazine in 1995 to pay off her debts after the breakdown of her marriage to actor Julian McMahon.
"My parents didn't want me to do it. My dad was saying, 'Doing this is forever - you can never, ever change it'," said the star, who is now in a relationship with rugby player Kris Smith.
"Kylie knew why I was doing it. I could have asked her for the money, but it wasn't in my nature.
"I don't regret it, but I feel relieved that people know why I did it - it's a huge weight off my shoulders."

DANNII MINOGUE hat sich für Geld ausgezogen
28.10.2009

Debt forced Dannii to strip for Playboy
28.10.2009
Dannii MinogueLondon, (ANI): Dannii Minogue has revealed that she decided to bare all for Playboy mag when she found herself in the midst of a financial crisis after her split with ex-hubby Julian McMahon in 1995. The singer then decided to strip her way to money in order to pay her 150,000-pound debt rather then asking her superstar sis Kylie for help.
"My parents didn't want me to do it. My dad was saying, ''Doing this is forever - you can never, ever change it''," the Daily Express quoted Dannii, as saying. "Kylie knew why I was doing it - I could have asked her for the money, but it wasn't in my nature. I never wanted to admit the trouble I was in. I should have been looking at my finances,” she said.
She added: "I would never disclose how much - but it had to be a lot to look at my parents'' faces and see the anguish in my dad's eyes. "I don't regret it, but I feel relieved that people know why I did it - it''s a huge weight off my shoulders. It was actually fun and I did feel liberated. I looked at the pictures and thought, ''I look alright!''
"The magazine was the biggest selling title they''d ever had and they had to reprint. My girlfriends went out to buy it and told me I looked beautiful. It then felt like a celebration of me."

Kylie Minogue freut sich mit ihrer Schwester
25.10.2009

Kylie Minogue New Album Most
Personal Yet, Says Nerina Pallo
(Image: Splash News)Kylie Minogue's new album will be her most-personal yet, according to singer Nerina Pallot who collaborated with her. Kylie, 41, worked with Nerina at her home in Camden, London, on the tracks that will feature on the follow-up to her 2007 album X.
Nerina said: "I would sit down and talk with Kylie about her feelings, then go away and channel that. She has only sung one new song on tour and it is a song my husband Andrew and I wrote for her.
"There will be other people working on the album, but a few of our songs will be on there, fingers crossed." Nerina also admitted that she almost missed out on working with Kylie because she thought it was a joke.
She said: "Her A&R man heard a song of mine and said that me and Kylie should work together. I thought he was joking. "Then she called me on the phone and I couldn't talk to her. My sister grew up in Australia and can do a great Aussie accent, so I thought it was her pulling my leg."
She added to Scottish newspaper the Daily Record: "Later, Kylie she came to the studio. She is lovely and very friendly and warm. I am a massive fan of hers."

NEW YORK TIMES – Wednesday 14th October 2009 - USAHouston, we have a problem. Kylie Minogue isn't coming anywhere near Texas... It was, in a word, SUPERPOPGLITTERGOODNESS. The songs were fantastic. The crowd was crazy. The dancers were hot. The music she was playing really blew my mind.
HOUSTON CHRONICLE - Tuesday 13th October 2009 - USATo be unique – and I mean one-of-a-kind, untouchable, line-walkingly individual – is no small feat in the continually proliferating music scene. Minogue show out of this world .. the 41-year-old Australian singer didn't disappoint (with) glamorous, sexy costumes (courtesy of Jean-Paul Gaultier); flashy, futuristic show design; and clear, high voice... the blonde bombshell clearly knows how to command a stage... (she) opened the two-hour evening spectacularly, descending from above while perched on top of a glowing red skull while singing Light Years... it was pretty much non-stop action in terms of constant costume changes (I lost count after six); ever-changing, slick-looking video with the emphasis on Minogue’s fetching face and form...
TORONTO SUN – Saturday 10th October 2009 - USAA shivering and uninitiated Toronto crowd was treated to over two hours of pounding dance-floor magic from the international pop star, sex symbol, high-profile cancer survivor and greatest Australian export... Let it be said that Kylie knows how to make an entrance,... we had collectively entered a galaxy far, far away where Kylie Minogue was both queen of everything and congenial air hostess. The show was everything that every solid pop spectacle should be. There were lasers. There were countless costume changes. There were beefy back-up dancers wearing next to nothing. And there was so much glitter... Even if you take away all of the lasers and glitter and dry ice, a highly compelling performer remains.

The crowd (went) ballistic... A slowed-down bar-room version of I Should Be So Lucky in the encore raises huge cheers before Love At First Sight closes a perfect show. How the Yanks haven't taken Kylie to their hearts before is a mystery, as this performance is on a par with the best a young Madonna or even a sane Britney could ever offer. Keep spinning around, Kyles -on a night like this, you proved why you're the queen of pop.

I could not stop smiling in that show .. it was so fabulous. ...it was a live singing spectacular... all I can say is it was so amazing I am so happy that I was able to see her in America in one of the first shows she’s ever done here... and if we are lucky she'll come back... this is her best tour ever, because it really is getting all of the best elements from all of her best shows and putting (them together in oneshow)... Amazing!!
PEREZ HILTON – Friday 2nd October – USAIn tears!!!! Such a beautiful night!!!!! Dreams come true... I love music so much, as you all know. And I LOVE Kylie and her tunes. So happy right now! Heaven!... I haven't been this happy in so long! Viva la Minogue!!!!!! ... I worship Madonna, BUT... I honestly have loved this Kylie show soooo much more than M's last tour. This is all about the fans. Hits!... Show!
PEREZ HILTON'S TWITTER – Thursday 1st October – USAMinogue's spectacle never relented once... (she) radiates a bliss that can't be bought. Even in the midst of painstaking choreography, her sense of ecstasy is utterly of the moment. When a throng of exceptionally organized fans sent a wave of Mylar pillows unexpectedly bouncing toward the stage during "Wow", she registered astonishment but without missing a beat grabbed a pillow and twirled around the stage as if she’d just been handed a tremendous present. It takes a special kind of star to accommodate and make the most of an unplanned special effect, and Minogue is effortlessly, exactly that. Comments... Thank you for capturing her stage presence and for pointing out that she truly is connected and grateful to her audience. I was overcome with tears at the show - 22 years is a long time to catch a glimpse of perfection!!
ROLLINGSTONE.com – Thursday 1st October – USA"Kylie, Kylie, Kylie!" shrieked the ecstatic crowd on September 30 as Kylie Minogue, riding a gigantic gold skull, descended to the stage to start what was the beginning of her very first US tour. From the stunning laser show to her edgy geometric costume, Kylie awed her fans with her energy and hot dance moves... It's inspiring to see someone in her 40s be so sexy and confident on stage. You go, Kylie! Take on the US - you'll have no problem winning over every last one of us!’
SAN FRANCISCO BAY GUARDIAN - Thursday 1st October 2009 - USAThis was easily the best show I've seen at The Fox in Oakland, and may be the best for some time. Kylie Minogue is a great performer, and the entire show is so much bigger than the room, it can blow away anyone who might come into contact with it. I’m glad to have been there, ... go for it. You won’t be disappointed.
SPINNING PLATTERS - Thursday 1st October 2009 - USA"It was nothing short of gigantic, an over-the-top spectacle that featured enormous props, a killer laser-light show, wild theatrical elements, artfully choreographed dance routines and a Cher-worthy closet full of pricey costumes. It was a stadium-sized event, put on for the 2,800 people who turned out at the Fox Theater in Oakland."
OAKLAND TRIBUNE - Thursday 1st October 2009 – USA"The Aussie singer... proved why she's a pop icon at the first gig of her north American tour last night... One fan, speaking outside the Fox Theater in California, exclaimed: "We're so excited. "We've been waiting millions of years!"
DAILY STAR – Thursday 1st October – UK"Kylie Minogue looked truly out of this world as she kicked off her US tour last night in an array of cosmic costumes. The pop star showed off her incredible figure at the opening night of her For You,For Me tour in Oakland, California. Also known as KylieUSA2009, it was the singer's live North American debut and it seems she pulled out all the stops."
DAILY MIRROR – Thursday 1st October – UK"Kylie Minogue looks out of this world in a silver space-suit style outfit. The Aussie pop princess was kicking off her tour in America and was on top form."

Kylie's public affection.

Kylie MinogueKylie Minogue must not embarrass easily. The Aussie pop star had no problem making out with boyfriend Andres Velencoso on top of a banquette at Avenue during the after-party for her Hammerstein Ballroom show this week -- even though her parents were there. "I guess she wasn't fazed by them," an eyewitness tells Page Six. Also there were Alan Cumming, who spent most of the evening locked arm-in-arm with a mystery date, and John Mayer, who noshed on chocolate-covered strawberries.

Kylie Minogue takes India by storm with ‘Chiggy Wiggy’
14.10.2009
Kylie’s meaningless cacophony ’Chiggy Wiggy’ has
become a chartbuster.India is already doing ‘Chiggy Wiggy’ with Kylie Minogue, although the film ‘Blue’ for which she delivered it is yet to be released on October 16.
Kylie’s meaningless cacophony ’Chiggy Wiggy’ in collaboration with Oscar winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire) has become a chartbuster and household word in India, a signature line for “Blue”, set-up new trend for Bollywood music, and taken up plenty of column inches.
Tipped by its leading star Akshay Kumar as “most dangerous film ever” and by media as the “most expensive film in the history of Bollywood”, underwater thriller “Blue” also stars Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta, and pint-sized Grammy winner Kylie Minogue as herself. This is Kylie’s first silver screen appearance after “Moulin Rouge!”.
Shot in Bahamas and Thailand, its cinematography has been handled by Pete Zuccarini (Pirates of the Caribbean), action scenes by James Bomalick (The Fast and the Furious), and sound mix by Oscar winner Resul Pookutty (Slumdog Millionaire).
Rahman was quoted as saying: "By working with Kylie, I was able to create something truly unique for fans-the music fuses the cultures of mainstream pop, Hindi, and Bhangra."
Acclaimed Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed has welcomed the West-East musical collaboration this film and Kylie offered and invited other world composers to explore joint ventures with India’s musicians. But in the mad rush, India should not forget its rich music heritage which went back to pre-BCE Hindu scripture Sama-Veda, and includes Dattila (190 AD), Amir Khusrau, Naik-gopal, Puramdaradasa, Tansen, Pundarika-vitthal, Govind Dikshitar, Ramdas, Venkatamakhin, Tyagaraja, Pandit Bhatkhande, etc., Rajan Zed, who is president of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, said in a statement in Nevada (USA).

Kein Erfolg in Bollywood
14.10.2009
Rahman („Slumdog Millionaire“) geschriebene Song „Chiggy Wiggy“ sei langweilig. Kylie Minogue habe für ihre Engagement rund 600.000 Euro Gage erhalten.

Coming in for a Landing After All These Years
By BEN RATLIFF
14.10.2009
Kylie Minogue at the Hammerstein Ballroom | Michelle V. Agins/The New York TimesThe Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue has been a very big banana in other parts of the world since the late 1980s. On Tuesday, at the Hammerstein Ballroom, she played the final date of what was, unbelievably, her first-ever North American tour. The tenor of the show was household-name; the fact of the show was cult-artist. This made the concert — efficient, clobbering, expensive, generous, drenched in film and costumes and dancing — close to an alternate reality.
It’s a long story, how she has remained apart from the American post-disco line, but it boils down to Europop’s absolute foreignness: there is no Bronx in it. Ms. Minogue has studied Madonna for years, but maybe this country needs only one blonde, stadium-filling, high-camp, digital-burlesque artist at a time and Lady Gaga — who draws from both Madonna and Ms. Minogue — has dibs on that spot.
Ms. Minogue’s voice never definitively dropped, like Madonna’s; she’s still comfortable in helium range. And while Madonna dealt in transgression nearly from the start, Ms. Minogue naturally circumvents the dark parts of desire. Between songs on Tuesday she was edgeless, posing no threat or subtext. She does enjoy-your-life music, no heavy message. And though you have an apparent advantage in connecting with it if you’re a gay man — the crowd at the Hammerstein was possibly 90 percent male — you’re free to make of it what you want.
Tuesday’s set went deep into disco, techno and various kinds of superpop, derivative but with champion hooks. (Ms. Minogue has released good songs throughout her career, including the recent Daft Punkish “In My Arms” and the thumping new song “Better Than Today.”) Champion stagecraft too. At the beginning she descended from the ceiling, wearing something like a string of feather boas and a solar-system headdress, standing atop an enormous shiny skull. Before long, after “Come Into My World,” a robot was high-stepping toward her, bearing a glass of red wine on a silver tray.
She had a live band, for what it’s worth — drums, bass, guitar and keyboards — though it all sounded like being inside a giant synthesizer. But her dancers, male and female, were invaluable. For “Shocked” they turned flips and cartwheels in front of exaggerated smiley faces on the back screen, looking like gym rats done up by Jean-Paul Gaultier; for “Boombox” (“Baby I’m your boombox/make you spin like a top”) they crept around in catcher’s masks; for “Slow” they performed interpretive gestures with neon-light tubes; for “Red Blooded Woman” the bare-chested men teased one another in front of shower stalls as Ms. Minogue posed on a gym beam. Please be seated: there’s more.
During “White Diamond” a footman approached Ms. Minogue, who was fretting glamorously on a couch flanked by panther statues, with some sort of dismaying note or book — again, on a silver tray; she flung him away and they did a routine of tension and release. For a stripper-dance version of “The Loco-Motion” the men dressed in female bondage gear and the women in flesh-colored body suits with pasties.
Ms. Minogue is effective in complex static poses, at one with her garments; at the start of “Like a Drug” she was shown on screen wearing something like an enormous doily, batting enormous eyelashes. But she was physical too, dancing as well as she could on high heels and walking more than once on the outstretched limbs of her dancers. And in the lovingly slow treatments of her biggest early hits, “The Loco-Motion” and “I Should Be So Lucky,” she used sufficient vibrato in her voice to assure you that she had one, a nearly intimate gesture after all the oversized ones. The concert was a stadium show intelligently compressed for 3,500 people, and that was why it worked.

Kylie Minogue 'loves US anonymity'
By Oli Simpson
13.10.2009Kylie Minogue has admitted that she enjoys travelling to the United States as no-one recognises her there.
The singer revealed that she attracts so little attention in the country that when someone does spot her, she forgets why they are staring.
"I can keep a much lower profile, which is enjoyable," she told the Daily Express. "And then if someone's looking at me, I'm like, 'Why are they staring at me? What's wrong? Have I got something on my face?'"
Minogue is currently wrapping up her first US tour and was recently rumoured to be preparing a residency in Las Vegas.

Kylie Minogue meistert Technik-Panne
Sie sang ohne Musik!
Autor: Simone
12.10.2009

Proof that Kylie is the best sister ever

Why does Kylie Minogue going out in an outfit that looks suspiciously like pyjamas make her a good sister? Well, that'll be because it's a well-known fact that at the moment, everything has some obscure link or other to The X Factor - therefore, we think what Kylie's doing here is taking the heat off Dannii's Danyl controversy by making herself look like a right silly fool.
No doubt an outfit like this would look elegant and chic on someone more statuesque, but because Kylie's so weeny, it really does look like she's ready for bed. All she needs now are a pair of fluffy Garfield sisters on her feet, some pick 'n' mix in one hand and a 13 Going On 30 DVD in the other, and she really is set for the best pyjama party ever.

Kylie Minogue's smiley crowd
Global pop queen's first Canadian show gives devoted fans hits, glitz
11.10.2009
Kylie Minogue used dancers, boas, lasers and LEDs to thrill her fans at
the Air Canada Centre.Canada's a bit more tuned in than the States, but Kylie Minogue's audience in North America still largely seems to consist of gay men and geeky music writers who over the years have consistently found themselves as wooed by the wee Aussie superstar's classy brand of haute couture pop as they have her feminine wiles.
Critics don't tend to buy records and concert tickets, mind you, so Kylie has her boys to thank for the resounding success of her first tour of these shores, a modest, six-city, nine-day jaunt that finally arrived 22 years into Minogue's singing career at the Air Canada Centre on Friday night. The men, in fact, outnumbered the women about two-to-one in a modest, but passionate crowd of maybe 10,000, prompting my friend Daniel – who writes for Fab magazine and is therefore a reliable authority on these matters – to remark: "It's like Pride Week in here. This is gayer than Madonna."
Only halfway into its run, this "test" tour has gone so much better than expected that the 41-year-old Minogue has reportedly already been offered a residency in Las Vegas, which is likely bad news for Celine Dion but very good news indeed for the legions of Kylie faithful on these shores who've been denied easy access to the high-glam stage spectacles she's been taking to the rest of the planet all these years.
Good news for Kylie, too, as her whole mystique makes a lot more sense once you've seen her perform. She exudes such a charming and friendly persona from the stage that she made the act of descending from the ceiling atop a giant, metallic skull whilst wrapped in multicoloured boas and sporting what looked like a model of a solar system on her head seem almost down-to-earth.
That was just for the opener, "Light Years." Once on the ground, she let a co-ed troupe of eight dancers clad in helmets and skin-tight fetish-wear handle most of the footwork while she slunk coquettishly, but gracefully through their taut robo-choreography, singing (mostly singing, anyway; there might have been a few "guide vocals" here and there) the robust dance-pop ditties "Speakerphone" and "Come Into My World" in a variety of stylized poses.
Costume changes courtesy of designers Jean-Paul Gauthier and Alexander McQueen abounded as the two-hour performance wore on, while a production that no doubt cost a minute fraction of the last Madonna tour's budget made the most of a set that relied primarily on a couple of risers and a few modular, moving LED screens drenched in multicolour graphics and video clips depicting Kylie and her dancers in various states of ingenious undress.
The more elaborate set flourishes, meanwhile, were tailored to the fans who Minogue clearly holds dearest to her heart. A replica bathhouse complete with steam jets, bamboo screens and four chiselled hunks of shirtless man-candy working up a lather in checked shower stalls was unveiled for "Red Blooded Woman," while a string-soaked recording of Dorothy's "There's no place like home" speech from The Wizard of Oz and a video reel of Kylie in Judy Garland drag teed up a goopy mid-set ballad sequence. "If you're gonna go gay, go gay," remarked the gentleman behind me.
Minogue then emerged from the shadows clad in a white evening gown to deliver "White Diamond" and "Confide in Me" from the comfort of an oversized chaise longue flanked by life-sized bronze panthers. Somehow she pulled it off without looking totally ridiculous, just ridiculous enough.
All of this, of course, would be empty without the mighty catalogue of hits with which Kylie has been blessed since she outgrew the Stock, Aitken & Waterman-abetted teenage output such as "The Loco-motion" (still her biggest hit in Canada and the States, sadly) and started putting a populist spin on contemporary club music. Her other transatlantic smash, 2001's frosty electro-pop masterpiece "Can't Get You Out of My Head" had the room in a predictable tizzy, but it came early in a tight set list stocked with international hits – "Slow," "2 Hearts," "In My Arms" – that proved equally familiar singalongs in the hands of true Kylie devotees. There was also a lone new number, an impossibly catchy disco detonator called "Better Than Today," that would seem to herald more hits to come. Kylie didn't totally sweep her dubious past under the rug, either, donning a black negligee and yet another pair of thigh-high boots to recast "The Loco-motion" as a feline burlesque romp.
"It was really difficult getting here, but now that I'm here it feels totally perfect," a pleased-looking Minogue said at one point. I doubt anyone here who gets what she's about would be inclined to disagree.

Kylie's fella moves in
10.10.2009
KYLIE MINOGUE feels lucky, lucky, lucky . . . after her model boyfriend agreed to move in.
The smitten pop queen will shift ANDRES SEGURA into her £3 million Chelsea mansion when she hangs up her microphone at the end of her first American road trip.
The strapping Spaniard used to split his time between Spain and New York. But now Kylie has told pals she wants to start a family.
A friend added: "Andres and Kylie are caught up in this whirlwind romance, which is amazing. They spend so much time together. She has stuff at his New York home so it made sense for Andres to move his belongings into her London home.
"Kylie has never been more calm and in love. Andres has been beside her for most of her time in the US.
"It wouldn't surprise me if he popped the question - things are that serious.
"Kylie is still adamant that she wants to be a mother at some stage in her life."

Air Canada Centre, Toronto ON, October 9

It was love at first sight — or maybe just lust. Either way, Canada enthusiastically lost its Kylie Minogue cherry last night during her first-ever North American tour.
A shivering and uninitiated Toronto crowd was treated to over two hours of pounding dance-floor magic from the international pop star, sex symbol, high-profile cancer survivor and greatest Australian export since Paul Hogan, or maybe even Vegemite.
Let it be said that Kylie knows how to make an entrance, descending as she did from the top of the Air Canada Centre astride a massive metallic skull. Clad in an unholy combination of the costumes of She-Ra and Barbarella, and garnished with boas, it was as though we were being treated to the opening scene of a sci-fi B-movie. We had collectively entered a galaxy far, far away where Kylie Minogue was both queen of everything and congenial air hostess.
"Please fasten your seat belts," Kylie advised her adoring audience.
The show was everything that every solid pop spectacle should be. There were lasers. There were countless costume changes. There were beefy back-up dancers wearing next to nothing. And there was so much glitter.
And through it all, there was Her Royal Kylieness, grinning cheekily throughout a satisfying set that included "Light Years," "Shocked," "What Do I Have to Do," "Spinning Around," "2 Hearts" and, of course, "Can't Get You Out of My Head," which was met with roars of approval and universal hip gyration. Kylie's signature hit "Locomotion" also made an appearance, but as a slow-burning hot jazz number, straight out of the imagination of Bob Fosse.
While every note and dance move was undoubtedly rehearsed within an inch of its life, Kylie somehow made every moment seem fresh and spontaneous and full of joy. Even if you take away all of the lasers and glitter and dry ice, a highly compelling performer remains.
