Die australische Sängerin versucht schon seit Jahren, die USA mit ihren Hits zu knacken. Nachdem sie die US-amerikanischen Fans auf ihrer aktuellen Tournee schwer beeindruckt hat, wurde ihr nun die heißersehnte Aufenthaltsgenehmigung angeboten.
Schwester Dannii Minogue verriet dem britischen 'Daily Mirror': "Die Reaktionen auf ihre Shows in Amerika waren phänomenal. Sie lieben sie da drüben. Sie war etwas nervös, als sie zum ersten Mal da auftrat. Es lief besser, als sie erwartet hatte. Jetzt wird sie gebeten, die Show in Vegas fortzusetzen und dort als Dauershowstar zu gastieren. Ich bin so stolz auf sie."
Die Sprecher der Spielermetropole waren hin und weg von der glamourösen Show der kleinen Musikerin und sind überzeugt, dass sie Massen Abend für Abend begeistern würde.
Laut Dannii ist ihre Schwester hocherfreut über das Angebot und wird auch von ihrer Familie bei der Premiere unterstützt werden. "Kylie rief mich an, um mir zu sagen, wie gut es ihr ginge und wie toll alles mit dem Vegas-Angebot geklappt hätte. Ich habe gescherzt, dass sie jetzt endlich dahin kommt, wo sie hingehört! Kylies Show ist perfekt für Vegas geeignet. Es ist so theatralisch. Sie findet es so toll, dort aufzutreten!"

There's definitely no wedding as their romance hits a rough patch.
Kylie Minogue's relationship with fashion model Andrés Velencoso is looking shaky.
Recent arguments between the pair have led friends to ask if this is the beginning of the end just as Ms Minogue, 41, hits ?the limelight once more.
She's currently on a mini-tour of the US and appeared in a pre-recorded X Factor show last Saturday, helping sister Dannii, 37, with contestants in Dubai.
‘She's so obsessed with her American tour being a success that she's been guilty of taking Andrés for granted,' says our source. ‘She finds it hard to switch off.
‘They're not argumentative by nature, but there have been a couple of blow-ups lately, including one just before she flew off to the States. So Andrés has backed off a bit and decided she's got a lot more to lose than he has.
‘She's gutted about him cooling things, but is trying to tell her friends she's fine and claiming what will be, will be.'

Kylie Minogue to become a Vegas Showgirl reveals sister Dannii

It took her 20 odd years to crack America.
But now the yanks can’t get enough of Kylie Minogue.
The Aussie star wowed the audience so much that sister Dannii tells us they want to keep her over there.
Instead of coming home to Blighty, she is getting ready to follow in the footsteps of the greats like Elton John, Shirley Bassey and Celine Dion to become a Vegas Showgirl.
Dannii told us: “The response from her shows in America have been phenomenal.
“They love her out there. She was nervous about going over for the first time, but it has gone better than she expected.
“She has now been asked to take the show back to Vegas and extend it as a residency over there. I’m so proud of her.”
Vegas promoters were stunned by the glitz and glamour of Kylie’s tour and the power it had to pull in celebs when she performed at the Palms.
So they moved quickly to offer her a Vegas residency as soon as she has finished her first US tour at the end of the month.
Paris Hilton demanded the best seats in the house to bring boyfriend Doug Reinhardt and friends to see the singer at her show in the Nevada casino city on Saturday.
Brits Fearne Cotton and Sam Sparro were also there singing along to all of her hits.
Delighted Dannii has pledged to take a break from X Factor to be in the front row of her residency to cheer on her sister.
She added: “She called to tell me how well everything has been going and about the Vegas offer. I was joking with her that The Showgirl is finally where she belongs.
“Kylie’s show is perfect for Vegas, it’s so theatrical. She has loved performing out there.” Just promise you won’t stay away too long, Kylie ...

Minogue was a teenager in 1987 when she had her first hit single, with dozens to come over the next two decades, yet despite her success, Minogue waited until now to tour North America, making her Chicago debut Wednesday at the UIC Pavilion.
She has her reasons. Despite her global success, Minogue has remained somewhat of a cult artist in the United States. Minogue, responsible for selling 40 million albums across the world, has had more difficulty here: Billboard reports that her 2004 album "Body Language" sold 171,000 copies in the United States, its follow-up, "X," sold just 36,000 three years later.
Which means her North American debut is more of an experiment, arriving in just six cities.
With lasers, multiple video screens, props and a giant skull that lowered Minogue for her entrance, the show played to both requisite spectacle and Minogue's subdued stage charms. She has roots as an actress, which means she did not spend much time yanked into complicated choreography. Instead, her eight dancers moved around her as she mostly played to the center stage.

Following suit, her material spanned 1980s retro pop ("Shocked") to pulsing techno ("Speakerphone") to Brazilian-flavored R&B ("2 Hearts"). Her band, featuring two backup singers and a three-piece horn section, kept the music from ever getting mechanical; instead. they swung on choruses so indelibly catchy, it presented the question why they failed to catch on here.
In treading new waters, Minogue made the safe choice to play directly to her fans. Which meant plenty of time focused on beefcake dancers who, in one segment, simulated showering together when they weren't going for a group grope.
A similarly tedious segment involving a chaise lounge and symphonic balladry -- plus a revisiting of that first hit, "The Loco-Motion," redone as stripper kitsch, did not fare as well for the singer who, you could tell, looked more comfortable cheering on everyone who made it there, including herself.

Kylie ‘not a great singer’ says Louis Walsh

Louis Walsh has said Kyle is not a great singer.X-Factor judge Louis Walsh has criticised Kylie Minogue saying the Australian is an example of a pop star with an ordinary voice.
Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards several days ago, the music industry veteran defended the Grimes twins from this year’s X-Factor by getting stuck into Kylie.
“They’re (John and Edward Grimes) not great singers but they could be great popstars,” Walsh said.
“Kids are gonna like them. Being a popstar is not all about being a good singer. Look at Kylie!”
Walsh’s unflattering remarks come less than a year after he reduced Minogue’s younger sister Dannii to tears live on air and accused her of using the same song as his act on X-Factor.
aThe hit-maker also suggested the show was designed to favour judge Simon Cowell.
“It’s annoying but it’s predictable. They never want me to win the show. Simon always gets the best category.
“He has the best category again this year. Him and Cheryl just show up and get the best categories. Dannii and I work so hard. I will try but I won’t win.”
The live finals for the popular TV talent show begin on Saturday.

Our Kylie divides the critics but conquers California

All dressed up ... Kylie's costumes earnt praise.Kylie Minogue's first show in the US has attracted a range of responses from American critics but it's clear the singer and her manager, Terry Blamey, were thrilled with the reaction of fans.
Blamey sent an exclusive message to S after the show in Oakland, California, last week: "I've been at every show and this is maybe the best to date. It was certainly the biggest audience response we've ever seen. What a welcome to America!"
Fans queued around the block ahead of Minogue's live appearance – with at least one local newspaper dubbing it "Kylie-fornia". But given her first two shows were in the San Francisco Bay area, Minogue was assured of a besotted audience – after all, she is one of the biggest gay icons in the world.
The mainstream US market has never quite understood Minogue and she has struggled to gain traction there as anything other than a niche act, despite winning a Grammy in 2004. She is often referred to as a "dance artist" by music critics there.
At least one reviewer at her debut US show was impressed by the spectacle Minogue offered up but far less enthusiastic about her performance skills.
"It was nothing short of gigantic, an over-the-top spectacle that featured enormous props, a killer laser-light show, wild theatrical elements, artfully choreographed dance routines and a Cher-worthy closet full of pricey costumes," wrote Jim Harrington in The Oakland Tribune.
But clearly underwhelmed by Minogue's robot-themed segments, he questioned her dancing skills, saying she "flat out can't dance". Huh?
Delighted fans thought otherwise. "Americans are stupid, obviously," Dustin Thornhill, a 28-year-old fan from San Francisco, told Reuters. His friend, Nicky Bangles, said: "We're so excited. We've been waiting millions of years."

The Spinning Around hitmaker says she uses singing as therapy when she’s having a difficult time.
“When life’s getting really difficult,” Kylie said, “I always think: ‘Let’s go on tour!’”
Kylie — who is in the middle of her first US tour — added that having cancer treatment made her fear she would never perform again.
“I didn’t know if I would be able to do any of this and the fact that I can — I love it even more,” she said.
“My mum has been on every tour I’ve done. All the crew — if my mum’s not there, they’ll cry. They love her.”

The pop legend managed to even eclipse the glitz and glamour of the £1,000-a-night Atlantis Palm hotel in Dubai where the auditions were held.

SOCIALITE and wannabe pop star Paris Hilton has revealed she is working on a new album inspired by Kylie Minogue.
The blonde heiress took to her Twitter account to express her admiration for the singer.
"I'm so excited that Kylie Minogue is having a US Tour!" Hilton tweeted.
"I love her! She is so beautiful and talented and such an inspiration for my new album."
Hilton said her favourite Kylie song was Spinning Around, and labelled the video clip, which features Minogue in her famous gold hot pants, "so hot!".
Minogue kicked off her first ever North American tour in San Fransisco on Wednesday. She will play shows in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and New York.
She has already picked up several influential American fans, including blogger Perez Hilton, who declared: "Kyliemania is about to sweep America!!!!"

American tour in Oakland, California September 30, 2009.OAKLAND, California (Reuters Life!) - Australian pop star Kylie Minogue kicked off her first-ever American tour with a driving disco beat, a bevy of well-muscled dancers, and a lot of leg, hoping to finally crack the lucrative U.S. market.
The pop diva, no stranger to spectacle, made her first appearance adorned in pink feathers as she was lowered onto the stage from a metallic skull.
"Well, good evening -- finally!" exclaimed the 41-year-old Grammy-winning singing, who has never toured the United States before. "All this anticipation -- on my part!"
In a fast-paced, two-hour show, Minogue made her way through her international hits, including "Slow," "Spinning Around" and "Wow." But the biggest applause greeted "Can't Get You Out of My Head," her 2001 club hit.
The tour, which began Wednesday night in Oakland outside San Francisco, takes Minogue to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, with one stop in Toronto.
Minogue first began her career as an actress on the Australian soap opera "Neighbors," but was catapulted to fame after her 1987 remake of '60s hit "Locomotion" hit the top of the charts.
Some 10 studio albums have followed and a handful of movies, giving Minogue mega-star status in Britain, Europe and Asia as well as her native Australia.
Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but she returned to performing after recovering from surgery and chemotherapy. In a world tour last year she visited more than 21 countries.
Her career also includes a lingerie line, perfumes, linen and a children's book.
But the star, who has a wax image of her likeness in Madame Tussauds, has never quite managed to crack the U.S. market, a notion that seemed incomprehensible to one fan.
"Americans are stupid, obviously," said Dustin Thornhill, 28, of San Francisco, who was at the show with friend Nicky Bangles, 24. The pair planned to see Minogue again in Los Angeles.
"We're stalking her -- sort of," Thornhill said.
Like many in the audience, the two said they were thrilled to finally have the opportunity to see Minogue perform.
"We're so excited. We've been waiting millions of years," Bangles said, adding that Minogue is an icon to gay men.
"She wears outfits that are amazing. What gay man wouldn't love it?" Bangles asked, adding, "Madonna who?"
To a constantly shifting set of images projected on a video backdrop -- including some of well-chiseled men in the shower and others working out with gym equipment -- Minogue and her scantily-clad dancers made their way through a series of hits.
The singer delivered the sassy fashion she is known for, sporting a host of leg-baring outfits that included silver tunics, black boots, a Nautical cap and a sparkly black leotard.
"Kylie's a diva!" gushed Todd Hedgpeth, 39, of San Francisco.
Minogue littlest American fan at the concert may have been Alexis Chiu, 9, who was looking at the T-shirts for sale with her mother, Donna. Why was she at Minogue's first U.S. tour?
"I've liked her since I was a baby," said the youngest Chiu.
"She likes that "Na, na, na" song," explained her mother.

Netztstrumpfhose, Klamotten, Accessoires - was für ein frecher Style-Raub!
Besonders auffällig war's bei ihrem silbernen Body in Kristall-Optik - so ein schräges Teil mit vielen kleinen Spiegeln trug Miss GaGa bereits im Juni!
Auch den crazy Kopfschmuck aus kleinen Planeten hat Kylie abgeguckt: Einen Hut in Form von Asteroiden-Gürtel hatte Lady GaGa in der Show von Ellen DeGeneres auf dem Dötz.
Doch während Lady Gaga als Erfinderin des crazy Looks ihre Bühnen-Klamotten fast alle selbst designt, lässt Kylie ihre Styles von Dolce & Gabbana und Gaultier schneidern.
Auch irgendwie arm, dass denen nichts Eigenes einfällt...
