Kylie has kicked off her 'KYLIEX2008' tour to rapturous acclaim from fans and critics alike.
Opening in Paris at the Bercy Arena on Tuesday night, Kylie wowed the 10,000 strong crowd with her spectacular new show that boasts state-of-the-art graphic staging and theatrical lighting, as well as a total of 14 dancers, a brass section, stunning costumes from master designer Jean Paul Gaultier, and an exciting mix Kylie classic both old and new!
Wired up and ready to go, Kylie kicked off the proceedings with 'Speakerphone' from her latest album 'X', before launching in to her mega hit 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. Next came 'Ruffle My Feathers', one of a string of previously unreleased tracks that Kylie has incorporated into her new show.
Following 'In Your Eyes', the stage was transformed into a star-studded, multi-coloured cheerleader's dream with Kylie dressed in her cheeky cheerleader attire, pom-pons and baton in hand, accompanied by her troupe of dancers. Hi-energy renditions of 'Heart Beat Rock', 'Wow' and 'Shocked' ensued along with some amazing choreography that found Kylie hoisted in the air by her male dancers whilst doing the splits!
Plenty more jaw-dropping set pieces followed, including a massive silver skull descending from the rafters with Kylie draped across it's crown for 'Like A Drug', and a neon, manga-styled backdrop with Kylie dressed kimono-style for 'Sometime Samurai'.
Kylie revisited classic hits such as 'On A Night Like This', 'Step Back In Time', 'Love At First Sight', 'Kids', 'I Believe In You' and 'Spinning Around', as well as showcasing more recent 'classics in the making' from 'X', including the hits singles '2 Hearts', 'Wow' and 'In My Arms', and album gems such as 'Cosmic', 'No More Rain' and 'All I See'.
Fans lapped up more previously unheard tracks in the form of 'That's Why They Write Love Songs' in Paris and 'Flower' in Antwerp, as well as a cover of Barry Manilow's signature 'Copacabana' that blended with ease to create a deliciously fruity cocktail with Kylie's own homage to bikinis and martinis, 'Loveboat'.
At once groundbreaking, breathtaking and visually stunning, it's easy to see why 'KYLIEX2008' is being hailed as Kylie's greatest tour yet. An evening to remember awaits those who hold tickets for the next 51 dates of the tour!

Wenn diese Frau ein neues Album ankündigt, dann horcht die Musikwelt auf: Kylie Minogue ist spätestens seit ihrem grandiosen Comeback mit "Spinning Around" ein Garant für topaktuelle Produktionen, angesagte Sounds und tanzbare Melodien. Ihre Alben bilden immer den Status-Quo der Pop-Musik ab und sind schon deswegen ein Muss für jeden Freund zeitgemäßer Musik. Kylie Minogue returns to her true home - the live stage - when she opens her greatest ever tour KylieX2008 in Paris on May 6th.
The tour will take Kylie through most of Europe and will see her play for the first time in Greece, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Luxembourg, Russia, Latvia and Spain. It will also be her first appearance in Northern Ireland since her first world tour in 1990. The tour ends in London on August 4, the last of a staggering seven nights at the capital's 02 Arena.
Ticket sales for the tour currently stand at over half a million and the show itself has cost a breathtaking 10 million pounds to stage, which makes it the biggest and most expensive show that Kylie has produced to date, easily eclipsing groundbreaking tours like 2002's Fever in ambition and scale.
Kylie's wardrobe for this tour has been exclusively designed by master couturier Jean Paul Gaultier and the show will feature at least 7 costumes just for Kylie, with more visual elements being added daily!
KylieX2008 also sees Kylie perform with a brand new live band including, for the first time, a brass section and a total of 14 dancers, including 4 acrobats.
For the songs, Kylie has drawn on a breadth of material spread over her career but also promises some unheard songs and at least one surprising cover. Songs including those from 'X', Kylie's current studio album, will be performed on a set dominated by huge video screens which will integrate with graphic staging and theatrical lighting to create a new concert experience for the audience. Always celebrated for her incredible breadth of vision on the live stage, this show sees Kylie move further ahead of her contemporaries.
Kylie's new single 'In My Arms' is released on May 5, on the eve of the start of the tour.

Stuttgart - Mit einer brandneuen Bühnenshow geht Kylie Minogue auf Europatour. Inspiriert von ihrem neuen Album "X" haben Kylie und ihr Kreativteam eine neue Show entworfen, die sie selbst als "frisch, berauschend und innovativ" beschreibt. Diese neue Show wird ein komplett anderes Konzept als die früheren Kylie-Galas präsentieren, bei denen sie bereits ihre Kreativität mit wegweisender Technik fusionierte und sie so zu einem der am geachteten Livekünstler weltweit werden ließ. Am 9. Mai gastiert die Australierin in der Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart.
Kylie sagt zur Tour: "Ich arbeite an einer Show, die für das Publikum als auch für mich eine neue und aufregende Erfahrung wird. Die vielseitige Mischung der Sounds auf "X" ermöglicht mir eine neue Liveshow zu entwickeln, die frisch, berauschend und innovativ sein wird."
Vom singenden Soap-Star zur international gefeierten Popikone könnte man ihre Karriere umschreiben. Denn die 39-Jährige trat wie schon ihre jüngere Schwester Danielle, genannt Danii, im australischen Fernsehen auf. Der Durchbruch gelang ihr 1986 in der TV-Soap "Nachbarn (Neighbours)" an der Seite von Jason Donovan, mit dem sie damals auch privat liiert war.
1987 sang sie im Rahmen eines Fußball-Benefizspiels den Little-Eva-Hit "The Locomotion". Dies brachte ihr einen Plattenvertrag. Die Covernummer erreichte Platz 1 der australischen Charts und wurde zur erfolgreichsten Single des Jahrzehnts. Das englische Produzententeam Stock Aitken Waterman nahm sich ihrer an und schrieb ihr "I should be so lucky" auf den zierlichen Leib (1988). Ihr erstes Album "Kylie" verkaufte sich weltweit mehr als sieben Millionen Mal. Von der Musikkritik als "singender Wellensittich" bezeichnet, genoss Kylie Minogue die Sympathien vorwiegend jugendlicher Plattenkäufer.
Mit dem dritten Album "Ryhthm of love" (1990) versuchte sie ihr "Mädchen-von-nebenan"-Image abzustreifen, zeigte sich in Videos, auf Fotos und bei Konzerten mehr von ihrer erotischen Seite. Mit den immer freizügeren Auftritten verschreckte sie zwar ihr Teenie-Publikum, machte sich dafür als "Dance Kylie" einen Namen, feierte Erfolge in der Clubszene. Ihr viertes Album "Let‘s get to it" heimste zudem auch das Lob der britischen Musikzeitschriften ein.
Nach der Trennung vom Produzenternteam und deren Label erarbeitete sie sich zunehmend Respekt in Musikerkreisen, was sich jedoch nicht auf die Plattenverkäufe auswirkte. Wendepunkt nach eigener Aussage in ihrer Karriere stellte das Duett "Where the wild roses grow" mit Nick Cave dar (1995). Der französische Fotograf und Musikvideoregisseur St é phane Sednaoui hatte Mitte der 90er großen Einfluss auf ihr künstlerisches Schaffen. Er prägte ihr Image und unterwarf sie visuell einer kompletten Änderung. Sie brachte sich immer mehr selbst ein, entwickelte sich künstlerisch weiter - allerdings mit geringem kommerziellen Erfolg. Ihr Auftritt als Unterwäsche-Model für H&M erreichte mehr Aufmerksamkeit als ihre Musik und Projekte. Weltweite Aufmerksamkeit gelang ihr beim Auftritt bei der Abschlussfeier der Olympischen Sommerspiele 2000 in Sydney. Ein ganz großes internationales Comeback gab es 2001 mit "Can‘t get you out of my head" aus dem achten Album "Fever".
2005 erhielt sie die niederschmetternde Diagnose Brustkrebs. Das durch das Bekanntwerden der Krankheit ausgelöste Medienecho sorgte für ein Ansteigen der Zahl der Brustkrebs-Vorsorgeuntersuchungen in Australien. Minogue selbst wurde 2005 erfolgreich operiert, unterzog sich einer sechsmonatigen Chemotherapie. 2006 zeigte sie sich wieder in der Öffentlichkeit, veröffentlichte ein Kinderbuch, brachte ihr erstes Parfum auf den Markt, arbeitete weiter an eigenen Produktlinien aus dem Lifestyle-Bereich. Den Status der Stil-Ikone festigte die Ausstellung "Kylie - The exhibition", in der ihre Bühnenoutfits und Kostüme zu sehen waren. 2007 folgte das Album "X" und jetzt im Frühjahr die Tour.

Kylie MinogueA song, dedicated to Bulgaria will be the newest hit of Kylie Minogue.
The Australian star announced, she is already preparing the song for her concert in Bulgaria. Her fans are suggesting which Bulgarian song will be covered by Kylie.
The most popular expectations are ‘Back, back, lassie Kalino' and ‘You are beautiful, my forest', both very popular Bulgarian folklore songs.
‘I want to sing local popular song in every city, I step in. Though, I know the choice will be very hard. This is real challenge for me. I haven't done such thing before' confessed Kylie.
The cheaper tickets for Kylie's show on Sofia's ‘Lokomotiv' stadium have already finished. There are still standing places of 40 BGN (20 EUR) and sitting places of 50 BGN (25 EUR) for the show on May 18.
Kylie Minogue arrives in Bulgaria with 17 trucks and about 50 people crew. She required to be provided vegetarian menu. Kylie doesn't eat nothing fried and doesn't drink mineral.

Kylie confirms summer gig in Madrid

16.01.2008Kylie Minogue, who was awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours List, will perform at the Palacio de Deportes in Madrid on the 3rd June as part of the KylieX2008 Tour. However, it has not been confirmed at this stage when or where tickets will go on sale or how much they will cost.
The Australian pop princess, whose career spans more than two decades, released her tenth album - 'X' - last year after successfully battling cancer.
She has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and her cameo performance in last year's Doctor Who Christmas special was watched by an audience of more than twelve million.
Her best-known work include hits such as 'I should be so lucky', 'Locomotion', 'I believe in you' or 'Can't get you out of my head'.

Sie sagte wörtlich: "Der Hauptunterschied ist, dass ich zwei Shows nacheinander mache und dann einen Abend frei habe, was mich schmerzt, weil ich gern immer weiter mache. Ich habe früher drei oder vier gemacht und der nächste freie Tag war ein Reisetag, um zum nächsten Ort zu kommen, das ist also eine große Veränderung."

Don't use eBay Kylie touts, says Arena
09.01.2008BOSSES at the region's biggest concert venue have asked fans not to line the pockets of get-rich-quick merchants on eBay.
Tickets for Aussie popstar Kylie Minogue's three July dates at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle are already fetching more than £100 a pair on the Internet auction site.
And though the singer was forced to add a third date after the initial release of tickets for her first two sold out, Arena bosses say there are still plenty of tickets available without paying over the odds.
Kylie is the fastest-selling female artist ever to appear at the Arena, and her show on July 23 looks set to follow those on July 20 and 21 by selling out.
But a spokesman for the venue said: "Tickets for Kylie in July 2008 are already appearing on eBay at inflated prices, when in fact there is still good ticket availability for this event at normal prices via official Arena ticketing sources.
"No front or second front row tickets are available at any arenas, since these have been held by the promoter.
"Further availability is also expected across all three shows once production details are finalised.
"Our advice would be to always only purchase through the official Arena box office, or through our official ticketing agency Ticketmaster on 0844 493 6666 or www.ticketmaster.co.uk."
Other legitimate agents that may sell Arena tickets by phone are Way Ahead, SEE Tickets, Piccadilly and Ticketzone, and on-line www.aloud.com and www.ticketline.com.

04.12.2007LONDON (chart-king.de) - Kylie Minogue kann schon jetzt auf ein erfolgreiches Comeback zurückblicken. Der Grund: Die Tickets für ihre anstehende "KylieX2008"-Tournee gehen weg wie warme Semmeln.
Laut dem Onlinedienst "FemaleFirst.co.uk" waren die Karten für ihre Shows in Großbritannien innerhalb von 30 Minuten ausverkauft. Kylie-Fans konnten die Tickets unter anderem im Internet für 49 Pfund erwerben. Mittlerweile werden die Konzertkarten im Onlineauktionshaus eBay für schlappe 400 Pfund angeboten.
