KYLIE- (Brightly) Sure!

Are you touring australia next year?(sent by madaboutkylie) KYLIE- Of course i would love to, but i would hate to be in the same position where i've promised a tour and can't, or feel that obligation. Yes is most likely. For my sanity i'm just going in increments. Alot of fans consider Impossible Princess your most personal- and finest-work.
Did the commercial reaction to that make you hesitant to pen such a personal album again?(sent by Cam)
KYLIE- Yeah, it did I've got three songs on X Cosmic,Stars and No more rain.

They're the most personal aren't they?
KYLIE- Yeah, those three where if there was any Impossible Princess-type thought behind it, it's in them Part of me wishes i had done more of that on this album.

Is there alot more of that type of personal material kicking around that will see the light of day eventually?
KYLIE-Thers is, yeah. At this stage i don't know what will be B-sides, or exclusives or anything like that.

Is it true you recorded 40 0r 50 songs for X?(sent by MissKitty)
KYLIE- Yes

You were busy!
KYLIE-(Laughs) I was busy! I went guns blazing in the studio!

Are you looking after yourself and saying no to alot of things nowadays?(sent by Mattalini)
KYLIE- Yes i am. Some days it doesn't feel like it but yes (Laughs)

Will we see more insights into your private life like White diamond?(sent by PoshRice)
KYLIE-I don't know. I would like to do some more acting. I just did the christmas episode of Dr Who, which was a lot of fun.

Are you truly happy with where you are right now(sent by Love2)
KYLIE- Um No. I can't really tell you why not. I still have alot of searching to do. I feel like i am in flux. It's the existential questions of life, the universe and what is true happiness and, if it exists, Where is it.

Do you see an end in sight to making music?(sent by JJTodd)
KYLIE- Not as yet. I always say i'm not going to be doing this when i'm 50,60 whatever, but i also can't imagine not having music in my life.

What has been your favorite collaboration so far?(sent by three13)
KYLIE- It's really hard to choose a favorite, i guess Nick Cave is the most unusual and mostpoetic and it was such a touching moment for me. It was unlikely and he's an absolute gentleman and so divine and iconic. I'm just really proud of (Where the wild roses grow). The whole thing was easy to do and it was new.

Just before you step on stage, what's going through your head?(sent by tdic6070)
KYLIE- I'm more or less somewhere in my mind thinking about the show all day as it gets nearer and nearer - hair and make-up is done and everythings prepped. Once i get into costume i'm getting in the zone and don't want people distracting me. We get on as normal, people who are around me know i'm getting in the zone. It doesn't mean i've changed, but in my mind a switch had definitley flicked. Once the earpiece goes in, i can't hear anything anyway(giggles). Some times i'm really nervous still, but it's like going through a some kind of pantomime/smoke effect. You're really nervous on one side and on the other side you've just got to do it. When you're doing it, it's occupying your mind and therefore you have less nerves.

Did you hear Darren Hayes acoustic version of 2 hearts that he performed on australian radio last year?(sent by Kriz) I did hear it and was totally taken aback by it. It was so sweet because it was really soon after it was released.

KYLIE- Awww, I'm a fan too.

You've recorded so many songs now. Has someone ever reminded you of a song that you'd totally forgotten about?(sent by TimHunter)
KYLIE- Oh, yeah, defintly. I 'm trying to think of one now. It would be some obscure B-side. There are people out there who know more about me than i do.

Are you planning to work with Scissor Sisters again?(sent by MikeB)
KYLIE- I would love to do something with them again both Jake and Babydaddy are really good friends. they flew over for the Music Industry Trust Awards in the UK, which was a couple of months ago. I got a big gong. (Laughs) Like a Bookend?
KYLIE- Yeah, I need another one (Laughs). So that was really kind that they came over and Jake sang 2 hearts with me. I absolutely love and adore them. They are so talented and unique. Any opportunity i would work with them again.

What advice would you give Britney Spears on dealing with fame?(sent by JakeHigh)
KYLIE- Oh...(Ponders)
I wish someone would write a manual about fame because its not easy. I'm always loath to say that because there are alot more difficulties to deal with. but it is unique. Not to the same extreme, but i can remember having a mini-meltdown myself and unless you've got good people around you... but who knows what is going on in her life? Britney isn't young anymore. I think she will still some back, but its like she's taken a extened holiday.

Did you get the flowers Delta Goodrem sent you after your diagnosis?(sent in by Pdisco)
KYLIE- I think i did. You know what? Thst period is a bit of a blur to me now. I'm sure i did but i can't remember everything about that time.

Did you see or hear about the Kylie tribute in last years sydney mard gras?(sent by Ginger)
KYLIE- Back in march? yeah i did! Awesome(Laughs)

Have you and Dannii ever thought of doing cover of It's raining men/I will survive for your gay fans?(sent by TrckyNick)
KYLIE- No, but we'll take that on board (laughs hysterically). All suggestionsd welcome!

Did you ever think so many of your early S.A.W songs would become classics now?(Sent by Freddy) KYLIE- Ha! I wouldn't have been able to think that far ahead so no.

Do you have a favorite from those years?
KYLIE- Um, Better the devil you know just transcended all the others somehow. I like Shocked and What do i have to do from that period.

Is it strange that Cathy Dennis, who ended up writing hits like Cant get you out of my head for you inspired Better the devil you know?KYLIE- Yeah, yeah. I love how i've been in the business for such a long time that there are those interwoven stories.

Minogue und De Niro für Goldene Kamera in Berlin

Kylie Minogue und Robert De Niro werden im nächsten Monat mit einer Goldenen Kamera geehrt.

Die Stars werden persönlich bei der Preisverleihung am 6. Februar in Berlin erscheinen, um die Auszeichnung entgegenzunehmen, das gab die veranstaltende Zeitschrift "Hörzu" bekannt. Minogue erhält für ihr Comeback die Goldene Kamera in der Kategorie "Musik International" und wird auch mit ihrem Song "In My Arms" auftreten.

De Niro wird für sein Lebenswerk geehrt. Er sei "unangefochtener Meister in der Kunst, sich als Person völlig in einer Rolle aufzulösen", so die Jury. Alfred Biolek wird ebenfalls mit einer Goldenen Kamera für sein Lebenswerk geehrt. Die Gala wird am 8. Februar vom ZDF ausgestrahlt.

Star-Alarm in Cannes!
NRJ Music Awards

Das "Who is Who" der internationalen Musikszene trifft sich am Samstag im südfranzösischen Cannes. Zum neunten Mal werden dort die heiß begehrten NRJ Music Awards vergeben. Erwartet werden Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna und auch Superstar Céline Dion.

In zwölf Kategorien wird der Musikpreis der Radiogruppe NRJ an nationale und internationale Künstler verliehen.

Wer einen Preis erhält, wurde zuvor durch ein öffentliches Voting ermittelt. Auf den offiziellen Seiten zum Event konnten Hörer und Fans aus dreizehn Ländern für ihren Liebling abstimmen.

NRJ hatte die Nominierten in den verschiedenen Kategorien zuvor selbst ausgesucht und dann seine Zuhörer dazu aufgerufen, einen Gewinner zu wählen. Die Stimme der Musikfans zählt zu 75 Prozent. Die anderen 25 Prozent Entscheidungskraft hat eine von NRJ und TF1 (der größte französische Fernsehsender) zusammengestellte Jury.

Auch unsere Jungs von Tokio Hotel werden in Cannes über den roten Teppich laufen. Die vier Jungs aus Magdeburg sind nicht nur Deutschlands erfolgreichste Band. In Frankreich erreichte ihr Debüt-Album "Schrei" in der ersten Woche direkt Platz 19 der Charts.

Damit ist Tokio Hotel die erste deutsche Band, die mit einem Debüt-Album die französischen Top 20 geknackt hat. Ihre Single "Durch den Monsun" kletterte bis auf Platz 8. Der Erfolg der Band wurde mit einer Nominierung bei den NRJ Music Awards in Cannes honoriert.

Auch diese Künstler kommen auf jeden Fall zu den NRJ Music Awards: Kylie Minogue, Amy Winehouse, Rihanna, James Blunt, Céline Dion, Mika, Vanessa Paradis und Justice. Das wurde von Radio NRJ bereits bestätigt.

Das Dating-Verhalten geschlechtsreifer Stars im Internet-Zeitalter ...

Kylie Minogue googelt regelmäßig ihre Traum-Männer, um zu sehen, wer auf dem "Freien Markt" ist.

Dannii Minogue, ihre kleine Schwester, teilt diese Taktik mit ihr. Dannii gestand in einem Interview: "Ich war total verknallt in Robin Thicke, nachdem ich ihn beim "American Idol"-Finale im TV gesehen hatte, über Google erfuhr ich dann, dass er schon verheiratet ist, da war ich wütend ..."

Kylie will zur Zeit zwar nicht preisgeben, wen sie zuletzt gegooglet hatte, aber in den UK-Klatschspalten heißt es, sie habe einige Dates mit dem britischen Schauspieler & Comedian Matthew Horne gehabt, der mit ihr an einem TV-Special zusammengearbeitet hatte.

Nach den Dreharbeiten soll der 29-Jährige ihr Blumen gespickt mit seiner Telefonnummer geschickt haben.

Kylie sagte zu ihrer Männer-Suche im Web: "Ich kann nicht lügen. Ich habe das schon gemacht, aber ich kann nicht verraten, wen ich nachgeschaut habe. [...] Das geht jetzt einfach noch nicht."

Honour in US, heart at home

KYLIE Minogue had Wantirna South on her mind as she wowed 'em on the Hollywood red carpet last night.

The pop star and cancer survivor said she was emotional about being chosen to be special guest at the annual G'day USA black-tie gala, where she was honoured by the Australian Government for her achievements in entertainment.

"I am so proud to be honoured by my country," Minogue told the Herald Sun.

"I feel fantastic - on cloud nine."

Minogue, who wore a striking purple gown by Melbourne label J'Aton, was presented with her award by screen star John Travolta.

Minogue said she had loved smash-hit film Grease since she was a child and was excited to meet her idol.

"To have John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in the same room tonight and I'm being honoured, it's such a thrill," she said.

"I feel like I am eight years old right now.

"I am in Wantirna South with my brother and sister doing Greased Lightning.

"If I could have told that little girl that I could have these two icons sharing this very special evening, I would have flipped.

"You can take the girl out of Australia but you can never, ever take Australia out of the girl."

Minogue has been shooting two video clips in LA to be released simultaneously in different countries as the second single from her new album X.

She said she was excited to be gearing up for this year's world tour.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing how this new album translates live," she said.

Proof Kylie is Miss Perfect

FIRST her bum was said to be flawless, then her smile was deemed to be the most naturally attractive - now a Polish study has branded her pegs proportionally perfect.

In case there was still any doubt, Kylie Minogue is the perfect woman.

Scientists at Wroclaw University got together 200 people to evaluate in order of attractiveness seven silhouettes of a man and a woman. The figures were the same height but had different leg lengths.

The most attractive was found to be those with legs 5 per cent longer than average - or an average woman of 162.5cm, with shapely legs of 80cms.

Leggy women with an extra 10 per cent of the limb were actually found to be less attractive.

The 153cm singing budgie, the study concluded, had legs that were petite but were proportionally long when compared to her small frame.

Dr Boguslaw Pawlowski said women liked to wear high heels to give themselves and men the illusion of longer limbs.

He also added that long legs were a sign of good health since short ones were linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and Type II diabetes with higher levels of a type of body fat linked to clogging of the arteries, heart disease and stroke.

But extra long legs, the study found, indicated a woman had poor childbearing prospects.

While the study was of Poles, he said it would apply to other Western cultures. The perfect man, with an average height of 178cm, should apparently have an inside leg of 82.6cm to be in the Kylie category of perfect.

They also found women regard tall men as good for a fling but shorter men better for marriage.

Meanwhile, UK dating agency has come up with Mr perfect: 178cm, blue eyes, short, dark-brown hair, clean shaven, non-smoking, single, a BA, three previous serious relationships, own home, dislikes football but loves pets, theatre and wines - and is a bit "wacky".

Dannii's new Dynasty look

Dynasty Dannii ... Dannii Minogue

IT'S DANNII Minogue as you've never seen her before. With her hair teased high and her cat-like eyes heavily made up, Dannii looks like she's just stepped off the Dynasty set.

But the London-based Australian pop star's dramatic makeover coincides with the release of the video clip of her latest club track, Touch Me Like That.

The new look may shock fans, but it signals the young diva finally stepping out of the shadow of her world famous big sister, Kylie.

And her star has never shone brighter.

The 36-year-old has teamed up with New York dance supremo, Jason Nevins, to record the song, based on Sylvester's 1970s disco hit You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real).

Touch Me Like That has already topped UK dance charts _ Minogue's 13th consecutive No.1 club chart hit since 1997.

The single is out in Australia this weekend.

Minogue's entertainment career has come a long way since she was a 1980s child star on Young Talent Time.

Her career has had its highs and lows, but she's now enjoying a high with her massive comeback over the past year, both in the UK and Australia. Her UK fan base grew rapidly after she became a judge on top-rating British talent show The X Factor.

She also sat in locally as a judge on Seven's reality series Australia's Got Talent, which will return for a second series in coming months. She's hotly sought after by magazines, paparazzi and is well and truly back on the A-list.

"It's a comeback to my roots," Minogue told Insider recently. "I got my break auditioning on a talent show, so it feels like my career has now come full circle."

Being a judge on X Factor, alongside mouthy Simon Cowell, music manager Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, also earned Minogue credibility as a singer.

But with fame comes increased attention on what is going on behind the scenes.

Minogue has been the subject of plenty of headlines in recent months, including claims that she was feuding with Osbourne, while raunchy photographs were published of the singer with a lap-dancer.

"I can understand that everyone is wondering about the new judge, on a very well-oiled existing show. As a punter, I would have the same intrigue about the new fourth judge," said Minogue, a UK resident for more than a decade.

"I'm the only one who knows for sure what is true and what is not _ and that can sometimes be frustrating."

Australia's Channel 7 will be airing 'The Kylie Show' on Tuesday 5th February at 7.30pm!

Get ready for some horsing around as the program features comedy sketches in the form of spoof backstage glimpses of the Australian pop star throwing diva tantrums; including a peek into Kylie's dressing room with the star smashing up the camera when she is embarrassed by the discovery of a prosthetic posterior among her costumes, betting on the horses, having a cat fight with sister Dannii, and being reunited with former Neighbours co-star and one-time real-life love interest Jason Donovan.

It also includes highly stylised performances of past hits and new tracks from 'X'. Kylie opens the show with her ethereal hit 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' in front of a studio audience, and closes it with backing from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Covering up her curly platinum locks, the pint-sized popstar has re-invented herself yet again for her latest single.

Unlike the glam-rock style of her last hit Two Hearts, it seems her latest offering will have more of a punk theme.

Having received two Brit Award nominations for Best International Female and Best International album, 2008 is set to be a better year for Kylie than 2007.

The singer spent last year recovering from breast cancer before going into the studio to make her latest album X.

She recently spent the day at a children's hospital with seriously ill youngsters before jetting off to LA.

Kylie dumped Toxic for Brit

KYLIE MINOGUE handed BRITNEY SPEARS a gigantic worldwide hit after rejecting the chance to record Toxic - despite knowing the troubled star had second refusal on it.

And the generous Aussie remains philosophical about missing out on the global smash.

She revealed: "I listened to a snippet of it in the record company offices and decided against it.

"Well, a few of us collectively made that decision."

And despite the keen interest from the other side of the Atlantic she still decided to ditch it.

She went on: "When you have a relationship with a top songwriter - as I have with CATHY DENNIS - then you sometimes get a head start and I knew that Britney was keen for it.

"That’s cool. I wasn’t at all angry when it worked for her.

"It’s like the fish that got away. You just have to accept it."
