Kylie MinogueLondon (AFP) — Popstar Kylie Minogue will zurück zu ihren Wurzeln: Sie würde gerne wieder als Schauspielerin arbeiten, sagte Minogue laut der britischen "Sun". Am liebsten wolle sie in einer Komödie mitspielen. Schon in der Vergangenheit habe sie ein paar Gastauftritte in Comedy-Shows oder Filmkomödien gehabt, die ihr viel Spaß gemacht hätten. "Es ist vielleicht nicht so bekannt, dass ich witzig bin. Aber wer mich kennt, wird das bestätigen."
Die heue 40-jährige Minogue war in den 80er Jahren in Australien mit der Seifenoper "Neighbours" zum Star geworden. Später konzentrierte sie sich auf ihre Musikkarriere und wurde zum Weltstar.

02.11.2008Kylie Minogue has revealed her ambition is to make people laugh as a comedy actress.
The 40-year-old beauty wants to return to her acting roots after 20 years as the Princess of Pop.
The pint-sized Aussie said: 'I'm starting to think that acting would be good. I would love to do a comedy. I've done a few little comedy bits and pieces as a guest on different shows and I love it.

'It's not that well known that I'm funny, but I am funny. People who know me will tell you.'
Earlier this month it was revealed Kylie has been targeted by director John Maybury for a new film project.
Maybury directed Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller in The Edge of Love and is keen to include Kylie in his next movie. Kylie launched her career as tomboy grease monkey Charlene in Aussie soap Neighbours in 1985.
She had a cameo role as the Green fairy in the 2001 big screen hit Moulin Rouge!

In an interview with an Argentine TV show she says she always hated being pigeonholed as either a singer or an actress.

'Then I started singing and I was in that weird space where people say 'You can't be a singer, you're an actress.'

'I hate that! I hate that! If you're creative there's no reason you shouldn't work in different mediums.

'Thankfully that's gone really well, but now I'm starting to think again about acting.'

Kylie Minogue wurden fünf Koffer gestohlenBogotá (dpa) Unbekannte haben fünf Koffer von Kylie Minogue (40) in der kolumbianischen Hauptstadt Bogotá gestohlen. Darin befanden sich Teile der Konzert-Ausrüstung der australischen Popsängerin.
Die Koffer mit mehreren Computern, einigen Kostümen der Künstlerin sowie Reisepässen von einigen ihrer Mitarbeiter seien am Freitag während des Aufbaus der Bühne verschwunden, berichteten nationale Medien unter Berufung auf die Veranstalter. Das für Samstag geplante Konzert sollte dennoch stattfinden. Ähnliches sei zuvor schon der US-Rockband R.E.M. und dem argentinischen Rocksänger Andrés Calamaro widerfahren, hieß es.

Staff Kylie Minogue robbed in Bogotá

Kylie MinogueStaff of Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue, currently in Bogotá for her X 2008 tour, was robbed in Bogotá.
Minogue's personnel was robbed of five computers, various cd's and their passports in Parque Jaime Duque where the pop singer will perform Saturday.
The organization of the event told newspaper El Espectador the concert would go on as scheduled, despite the staff's setback.

Kylie MinogueSHE is huge in Britain and Australia, adored in Europe, and now Kylie Minogue has a new legion of fans as she prepares to perform in Colombia.
Despite the country's reputation for drug barons, kidnappings and bombings, the pop princess has stunned local event promoters and fans by deciding to perform in Bogota on Saturday night (Sunday afternoon AEDT).
"It was difficult for us to believe that an such an important artist, such a big artist, would want to come (to Colombia)," Juan Arbelaez, project director at event management group Evenpro Colombia, said.
While in Bogota, Minogue will get presidential-style security with 15 around-the-clock armed guards, and travel in bulletproof cars with motorcycle escorts.
In a pre-show interview with a local radio station, Minogue said she was "muy emocianda" (very excited) and expected Colombia to be exciting and vibrant.
She also asked local fans to do their research and learn the lyrics, while promising to include the song Locomotion in the line up.
The Australian icon has a strong Colombian fan base, with her albums selling between 20,000 to 30,000 copies, even though it is often easier and cheaper to get a pirated copy on the streets.
The concert, her first in Latin America, opens the South American leg of her X tour and following Colombia will stop in Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina before heading to Asia.
Dubbed locally as the largest Halloween party ever, the night also features Melbourne act Cut Copy playing. About 10,000 people are expected at the concert.
It is not the first time Aussie musicians have ventured to Colombia. In 1995, INXS toured.

Kylie was greeted by fans and media at the airport and said she was 'muy emocionada' (very excited) and expected Colombia to be exciting and vibrant.
Dubbed locally as the largest Halloween party ever, the eagerly anticipated show marks the beginning of the second leg of the KYLIEX2008 World Tour, with over 10,000 fans expected to fill Bogota's Parque Jaime Duque.
Following Colombia KYLIEX2008 will stop in Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Dubai, before heading to Asia and then Down Under for a series of sell-out dates in New Zealand and back home in Australia.

FME Acquires Home Entertainment Rights To Kylie's 2008 Spectacular
28.10.2008FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced the acquisition of worldwide DVD rights to Kylie Minogue's current international live tour KylieX2008.
The content features the concert along with 17 minutes of bonus footage entitled '12 Hours'. FME launched this home entertainment package at MIPCOM to overwhelming interest from international buyers and is in the process of solidifying several deals. The DVD will be released in the UK on December 1, 2008.
The KylieX2008 tour is an international sensation, performance tickets sold out 120,000 eager fans within two hours of their release. As a result, many extra tour dates have been added and present ticket sales stand at more than half a million. Inclusive of stunning visual effects, the show costs £10 million to stage, making it Kylie's biggest and most expensive show to date. The concert features Kylie's new live band and 14 high energy dancers. Kylie is dressed in head to toe couture from Jean Paul Gaultier throughout the performance.
She draws on a breadth of material spread over her career, including hits such as 'Slow', 'On A Night Like This', and 'I Should Be So Lucky', alongside new tracks from her latest album, 'X' and some surprising cover versions.
'12 Hours', exclusive to this Home Entertainment special, is a glimpse at a day in the life of Kylie, from waking in the morning to her final encore at the end of the show. It allows the viewer to become a silent witness through the lens of the film-maker.
Pete Kalhan, FME Senior Vice President Home Entertainment, said: "KylieX2008 was a spectacular live show, one that can be enjoyed again and again, not just by Kylie fans, but by anyone who has an appreciation of live music and creative performance."
FME has also acquired worldwide rights to the 2006 documentary 'White Diamond', an intimate look at Kylie's preparation, performance and persona throughout the 'Showgirl Homecoming' tour featuring backstage footage and revealing interviews. This personal portrait has never been available on Australian DVD.
The KylieX2008 package is one of many brands in the FME Home Entertainment music portfolio. It also recently acquired 'Mantaray & More Tour Finale' from Siouxsie Sioux. Additional existing properties, 'There'll Always Be An England' from The Sex Pistols, 'Stiff Little Fingers' and 'Live From Abbey Road' Season 1 add further prestige to the full catalogue.

So I'm chuffed to report she has signed up to star in a new feature film.
Kylie, who hasn't acted on the big screen since Moulin Rouge in 2001, is taking a role in The Edge Of Love filmmaker John Maybury's next project after they were introduced by friends.
One of Kylie's inner circle explained: "John told Kylie he had started to write a screenplay and he wanted to create a part for her. Kylie was very flattered. She would love to do it."
And I'd love to see her.

“I’m working between London and Melbourne at the moment, so I have the best of both worlds! Back home in Melbourne I love the wide open spaces, having lunch on the beach and the friendly people. The town comes alive when the F1 racing teams hit town. In London you can’t beat the music, fashion and great tunes on the radio.”

Dannii Minogue gives up on Botox

Dannii MinogueX Factor judge Dannii Minogue has decided to give up on Botox injections after they left her face frozen and expressionless.
The decision came after Minogue, 37, revealed that viewers could no longer tell what facial expression she was pulling after the jabs made her lines disappear and she became the butt of many jokes. “A lot of people think I have had a million surgical things done but I haven’t. And in terms of ageing, surgery isn’t a first option,” Daily Star quoted her as saying. “As for Botox, for the job I do now I need to express myself so I’m not having that any more,” she said.
Minogue, who is also upset about being portrayed as the reality show’s Ice Queen, revealed the surgery she had done in the past. “It didn’t make me happier. If you link cosmetic surgery into happiness or to be perfect you’re never going to be happy,” she stated.
And a source has revealed that the Aussie star’s botox use is more popular than her mentoring. “Dannii’s Botox is becoming a bigger talking point than her mentoring skills,” the source said. “People have started to be quite cruel about it, even Louis Walsh has made fun of her a few times.
“Last year she was know as the young, sexy judge and now, because of Cheryl’s arrival, she’s been branded the old has-been. This is hard for Dannii to deal with but, instead of having more Botox to compete with Cheryl, she has decided to stop having injections completely,” the source added.
