Bono Überraschungsgast bei zweitem Konzert von Kylie Minogue

Der irische Rockstar Bono hat beim zweiten Konzert der Tournee von Pop-Diva Kylie Minogue in Sydney einen Überraschungsauftritt hingelegt.

"Meine Damen und Herren, wir sind heute Abend in Gesellschaft einer großen Persönlichkeit", kündigte Minogue am Sonntagabend vor 10.000 Zuschauern den Überraschungsgast an, der sich für die "Vertigo"-Tournee seiner Band U2 gerade in Sydney aufhielt. Im Duett sangen die beiden den Song "Kids", den Minogue ursprünglich mit Robbie Williams aufgenommen hatte.

Minogue trug ein Kostüm mit Leopardenmuster, Bono wie gewohnt einen schwarzen Anzug und Sonnenbrille. Nach dem gemeinsamen Tanz kniete Bono vor der zierlichen Sängerin nieder, gab ihr einen Handkuss und bedankte sich. Minogue hatte Bono nur wenige Stunden vor dem Konzert um einen Gastauftritt gebeten.

Das Konzert am Sonntag in Sydney war das zweite nach der Brustkrebsbehandlung der 38-jährigen Australierin. Am Samstag hatte Minogue in Sydney mit einer fulminanten Show ihr Bühnen-Comeback gefeiert.

I'M A Celebrity star Jason Donovan turned into a cocaine-snorting wreck because he couldn't get over his split with Kylie Minogue, an aide revealed last night.

Heartbroken Jason, 38, took over three grammes of the Class A drug every day.

Ex-personal assistant Jules Braconnier, 41, who spent 10 nightmare years with the tormented star, said: "He couldn't handle what was going on. He lost fame and he lost Kylie."

SHOCKED aide Jules Braconnier last night lifted the lid on her eight years of hell working for cocaine-crazed star Jason Donovan.

She told how the I'm A Celebrity heart-throb got hooked on the deadly drug after his romance with pop queen Kylie Minogue turned sour.

And Jules - who worked as Jungle Jason's PA - spelled out how the former chart-topper:

SNORTED up to three grams of coke a day before his habit nearly killed him'

HAD to be carried to work by Jules after his drug binges left him semi-conscious' and

OBSESSED over Kylie for years after they split.

Jules, 41 - who is now battling multiple sclerosis - thought she had landed her dream job when Jason hired her in 1992.

He was a million-selling singer and the star of a string of hit stage shows like Joseph And His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

He had also been Jules's idol for years.

But the dream became a nightmare as jilted Jason found solace in cocaine.

Jules said: "At the time I was closer to him than anyone else. He knows that and has often said it.

"I was a fan of his and I went to see Joseph twice.

"I used to see him on TV and thought he was amazing. I had a huge crush on him."

But Donovan's break-up with first love Kylie changed him - and prompted massive cocaine binges at his home in London's trendy Notting Hill.

Jason, now 38, dated Kylie for four years before she dumped him for INXS star Michael Hutchence - who later died in a bizarre sex game.

Kylie twisted the knife even more when she called her romance with Donovan "a childhood relationship".

Things got so bad that Jules had to bring him back to life when she found him lying semi-comatose in his flat - TWICE.

She said: "He took loads of cocaine because he couldn't handle what was going on.

"It was escapism. He took three grams a day - can you imagine it?" She went on: "I once went to pick him up for a show and he was lying there like he'd had a heart attack.

"He had obviously tried to get up and collapsed and hit his head and blood was everywhere.

"I got him awake, cleaned him up and got him in a car and took him to the show.

"You had to get him there or he got sued by the production company.

"So I got him there and said he had flu. He was signed off by the doctor.

"They were being kind - he was an addict."

Donovan's drug-taking sparked weird habits - like collecting his own bogies in a box.

Jules, from Maidstone, Kent, said: "He used to measure them each time.

"He wanted to see if each was bigger than the last time."

Donovan found a new girlfriend, Ange - later the mother of his two children.

But his pop career went into free fall and he was still obsessing about Kylie.

Jules said: "Ange adored him but he was so addled by drugs and his words were, 'She's not pretty enough - she's no Kylie'.

"He was besotted with Kylie - he worshipped the ground she walked on.

"Once she came into the office after they split and he freaked out. The way he put it was, 'It's hard to split up with someone when you're so in love'.

"It took him a long time to get over it."

But after the birth of baby Jemma six years ago, Donovan turned over a new leaf and quit coke for life as a family man.

Jules said: "Having a child made him realise how wonderful life was. He changed overnight and stopped doing drugs."

Jason and Ange now also have a son Zac, five, and live together in Notting Hill.

Jules is certain Donovan will flourish in the new series of I'm A Celebrity which is being filmed in Australia.

She said: "He trained with the Australian Army so he's not afraid of snakes or creepy-crawlies or hard work. He's very fit.

"And I think he'll charm everyone in the jungle and all the viewers at home. I think he's got every chance of winning."

Teenager Donovan shot to fame in 1988 as Scott Robinson in hit Aussie soap Neighbours - which has a cult UK following.

He won the hearts of millions worldwide when he wed Charlene Ramsay - played by Kylie.

The couple soon began dating for real and released the duet Especially For You, which got to No1 in the British charts.

Jason once said of his romance with Kylie: "I think after Especially For You our relationship started to break down.

"Hutchence became involved but I was hitting my height then.

"It was a funny, funny time for me because emotionally I was gutted with the whole situation of our relationship.

"I felt my emotions were just being thrown out on the floor for everyone to see and it was 'poor old Jase'.

"But poor old Jase was on top of the charts at the time. So he was up and down."

After leaving Neighbours in 1989, he launched a solo singing career and hit the top spot again with Too Many Broken Hearts and Sealed With A Kiss.

He soon became a West End star in Joseph and had another hit with Any Dream Will Do.

In all, he has sold an amazing 30million records.

But sales nosedived, his record company dropped him and his drug habit took over.

It is claimed he blew £250,000 on drugs while earning £65,000 a week in Joseph.

But at the time Donovan was unrepentant.

He said: "I would argue - though not advocate - that drugs can influence creative activity.

"You only have to look at The Beatles to realise that."

And playing down his problem he added: "It's been exaggerated.

"The fact that I collapsed in nightclubs three or four times is enough to make people say that I might need help.

"There have been times in the past four years when I haven't been in control but I don't think I've tipped the scales far enough to warrant a visit to The Priory."

But since seeing the light he had admitted his errors.

He said recently: "For much of the 1990s I just wanted to be and I thought cocaine was the route to credibility.

"It wasn't, of course - it was a f***ing destructive path. Now I don't care about being cool. I just want to express myself."

Kylie Minogue in Glitzer und mit Freudentränen Eineinhalb Jahre nach ihrer Brustkrebserkrankung hat der australische Popstar Kylie Minogue ein viel bejubeltes Comeback gefeiert. Kritiker stellten fest, dass die Tanzeinlagen verhaltener als früher waren.

Sydney - In rosaroter Federrobe mit passendem Kopfschmuck und einer glitzernden Corsage betrat die 38-Jährige gestern Abend die Bühne in Sydney. Den Tränen nahe dankte sie den Fans für ihre Unterstützung. "An diesen Augenblick habe ich lange gedacht", sagte Minogue. Sie habe darüber nachgedacht, was sie in diesem Moment sagen wolle, doch es sei ihr nichts Passendes eingefallen.

"Guten Abend Sydney!" rief sie den 10.000 begeisterten Fans in der ausverkauften Halle zu Beginn ihres dreistündigen Konzerts zu. "Wie fühlt ihr euch heute Abend?" Wegen ihrer überstandenen Krankheit war die Tour in "Showgirl Homecoming Tour" umbenannt worden. Minogue hatte ihre "Showgirl"-Tour unterbrechen müssen. Den Konzertauftakt machte sie mit ihrem Hit "Better The Devil You Know", zu hören waren außerdem "In Your Eyes", "On A Night Like This", "Shocked", "Spinning Around" und der neue Song "White Diamond". Das Lied "Especially For You" widmete sie ihrem Vater, der unter den Zuschauern war.

Bei ihrer ersten Schau nach der Genesung waren die Tanzeinlagen verhaltener als früher und nicht so präzise wie gewohnt. Auch trug sie die Haare nach der Chemotherapie noch kürzer als früher, aber was Minogue auf der Bühne zeigte, begeisterte die Fans im Entertainment Centre. "Kylie, Kylie!" skandierten sie in jeder Liederpause. Die Konzertkritik der australischen Presse fiel überwältigend positiv aus. Abstriche bei den Tanzdarbietungen hätten der aufregenden Show keinen Abbruch getan, schrieb "The Sun-Herald".

Neben der rosafarbenen Federkreation von Designer John Galliano war die Sängerin in Outfits unter anderem von Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce und Gabbana und Emilio Pucci zu sehen. Normalerweise komme sie nur zehn Minuten zu spät, nun seien es eineinhalb Jahre geworden, sagte sie zu ihren Fans.

Die gebürtige Australierin hatte die Tour im Mai 2005 abgesagt. Wegen ihrer Krebserkrankung wurde sie in ihrer Heimatstadt Melbourne operiert. In Paris, wo ihr Freund Olivier Martinez lebt, unterzog sie sich einer Chemotherapie. Jetzt ist die Sängerin nach Angaben ihrer Ärzte vom Krebs genesen.

In den vergangenen Monaten veröffentlichte der Popstar ein Kinderbuch, "The Showgirl Princess", und brachte ein Parfüm heraus. In den nächsten fünf Wochen will die Grammy-Gewinnerin in Australien 20 Konzerte geben und Anfang des Jahres wieder in Europa auftreten.
