Kylie's smash hit single 'I Believe In You' has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Dance Recording!
This is Kylie's fourth consecutive nomination in this category and she won the coveted Grammy Award in 2003 with 'Come Into My World'.
The 48th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Wednesday February 8th at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8'11.30pm (ET/PT).

Kylie releases her first ever digital only single on Parlophone on December 25th. The single, a live version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' is backed with her Christmas classic 'Santa Baby'. 8 further live tracks and 3 video tracks will be available to download from early December.
'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' is taken from the live DVD 'Kylie- Showgirl The Greatest Hits Tour', which was recorded earlier this year at Londons Earls Court, part of Kylie's most successful UK tour ever.
The tour saw her play 23 sold out nights in four cities, breaking records for ticket sales in each of them. In total the show was seen by 300,000 people in the UK.
The 1939 classic song from the Wizard of Oz soundtrack, 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' was a definite highlight of the show a jaw-dropping entrance by Kylie suspended high above the audience on a glittering crescent moon, coupled with an incredible vocal performance, left audiences and critics spellbound.
The Times said "She delivered a note perfect 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' with next to no musical accompaniment. The gig of the year? No doubt about it!"
In addition, 8 live tracks will be available to download from Kylie.com and all usual digital outlets from the beginning of December. These are:

'Kylie effect' sends women to breast-screening clinics

THE number of women being screened for breast cancer has increased greatly since Kylie Minogue, the pop singer, revealed earlier this year that she had the disease. The "Kylie Effect", the result of publicity about the diagnosis and increasing awareness of the dangers of the disease, has been welcomed by doctors. A spokesman for the breast cancer charity Breakthrough said: "Out of something so terrible for Kylie has come something positive."Since Ms Minogue said that she was suffering from early stages of the disease in May, the number of women attending the Breast Care Centre at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol for screening has increased by 25 per cent. Other units across Britain have reported similar increases. Simon Cawthorne, a consultant surgeon and breast cancer specialist at Frenchay, said that in July alone the number of screenings rose from 400 last year to 500.
Dr Cawthorne said: "There has been a noteable rise in women of all ages being referred since Ms Minogue’s diagnosis." After reading about her in the media, women have become more anxious about the disease and are checking themselves more regularly.
"Often the lumps they find turn out to be harmless cysts but they should always be checked out. Ms Minogue’s case has highlighted the importance of self-examination, especially in younger women who are less aware of breast cancer symptoms because they are less susceptible to the disease."
The breast care unit at Nottingham City Hospital has reported a similar increase. A spokesman said: "Staff in our unit have reported a noteable rise in women coming to be screened since Kylie Minogue’s illness was diagnosed. This is because of women becoming more aware of the disease through Ms Minogue’s experience."
The Royal Devon and Exeter Breast Care Unit said that it had also been "noticeably busier". A spokesman said: "The general feeling is that there has been an increase in the number of referrals to the clinic, particularly in younger women of Kylie’s age."
"The publicity her case has been given has greatly affected awareness and staff believe this is a very positive outcome. Kylie is a role model for many young women and her going through this experience has highlighted the issues surrounding breast cancer."
A survey conducted by Breakthrough before Ms Minogue’s announcement found that 47 per cent of women in Britain never checked their breasts for lumps.
The case has played a positive role in prompting women to take more care of their breasts, the charity said. It said that half of all women were "more aware" of breast cancer since her illness, with awareness increasing across all age groups, but particularly in the singer’s own age group, the 35-44-year-olds.
An average of 40,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year in Britain and it is the second-biggest killer of women after lung cancer.
Ms Minogue, 37, has been undergoing chemotherapy at a clinic in Paris. The singer has been spotted with her boyfriend, Olivier Martinez, looking frail and wearing a headscarf to cover up hair loss caused by her treatment.
Breakthrough has started a "TLC" campaign - Touch Look Check - which aims to encourage more women to "love their breasts".
A Breakthrough spokesman said: "Many women do not like their breasts and do not pay them enough attention. Women have to think about their breasts more and check them regularly if they are to detect lumps and other symptoms."
"Changes to look out for include unusual pain, nipple discharge, dimpling of the skin and lumps which are new and not related to the menstrual cycle. Awareness and education about breast cancer, and dispelling the embarrassment linked to breast issues, are critical. Kylie’s case has brought these issues to the forefront for many women."

Kylie Minogue (37) kann sich über Familienzuwachs freuen. Wie der "Mirror" schreibt, wird die Popsängerin bald Tante. Ihr jüngerer Bruder Brendan hat angekündigt, dass seine Freundin schwanger ist. Minogue soll auf die Nachricht mit einem Lächeln reagiert haben, wie man es in den letzten Monaten selten bei ihr gesehen hat.Im Mai war bei Minogue Brustkrebs festgestellt worden, inzwischen ist sie nach Operation und Chemotherapie auf dem Wege der Genesung. Dieses Weihnachtsfest würde für die Minogue-Familie ein ganz besonderes werden, mutmaßt das Blatt. Es ist das erste Enkelkind für den Minogue-Clan.
Abgesehen von einer eigenen Schwangerschaft, könnte Kylie im Moment nichts glücklicher machen, als diese Nachricht, sagte ein Freund der Familie.

Nach diversen Spekulationen über ihren Gesundheitszustand hat sich jetzt Kylie Minogue selbst zu Wort gemeldet.Die an Brustkrebs erkrankte Popsängerin Kylie Minogue hat britische Presseberichte dementiert, wonach sie Hilfe bei einem "Guru der Ganzheitsmedizin" gesucht habe.
Meldungen über einen "dramatischen Gewichtsverlust und die verzweifelte Suche nach einer alternativen Therapie" seien "töricht", teilte die Sängerin nach Angaben des Senders BBC mit. Sie sei "in guter Stimmung und so gesund, wie man das erwarten kann", sagte Minogue. Ihre Nachbehandlung in Paris werde wie geplant fortgesetzt.
Mehrere britische Zeitungen hatten kürzlich gemeldet, dass Minogue in London von dem Alternativ-Mediziner Nish Joshi behandelt wird. Er hat ein Buch über Ganzheitsmedizin geschrieben und soll Stars wie Gwyneth Paltrow, Ralph Fiennes und Kate Moss medizinisch beraten haben. Auch die verunglückte Prinzessin Diana soll eine seiner Patienten gewesen sein.
"Ich arbeite mit vielen Krebs-Patienten. Mein Ziel ist es, die Nebenwirkungen des Krebses und auch der Chemotherapie zu bekämpfen", hatte Joshi erklärt, jedoch nicht bestätigt, dass er Minogue behandle. Zu seinen Behandlungsmethoden zählen Akupunktur und Schröpfen.
Minogue war im Mai in ihrer Heimatstadt Melbourne ein Knoten in der Brust entfernt worden.

Kylie Minogue versteigerte BH für Krebshilfe

Während Britney Spears den BH, den sie zu Gunsten der Hurrikan-Opfer versteigern wollte, wieder zurückgezogen hat, versteigerte Kylie Minogue (37) ihren Lieblings-Büstenhalter überaus erfolgreich.Wie der Internetdienst "Contactmusic" berichtet, erzielte das vom 1. Oktober an bei "eBay" angebotene gute Stück 13.860 Dollar (gut 11.000 Euro). Der schwarz und pinkfarbene BH, den die Popsängerin signiert hatte, wurde von dem Bieter Michael15484 ersteigert.
Die britische Zeitung "Daily Mirror" hatte den Verkauf organisiert, dessen Erlös der Brustkrebs-Hilfe gespendet werden soll. Minogue war selbst an Brustkrebs erkrankt und befindet sich nun auf dem Weg der Genesung.

Die an Brustkrebs erkrankte Sängerin Kylie Minogue hat sich mit einer Grußbotschaft an ihre Fans gewandt. Auf dem "Pink Ice Ball", einer Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltung für die Krebsforschung, habe ihre Schwester Dannii eine kurze Nachricht ihrer Schwester verlesen, berichtet die "Daily Mail"."In diesem Moment bin ich eine Krebspatientin. Ich werde aber jemand sein, der den Krebs besiegt hat", teilte Minogue darin mit. "In den vergangenen Monaten habe ich einen Crash-Kurs im Lernen mitgemacht. Nun habe ich aus erster Hand erfahren, wie lebensnotwendig Bewusstsein, finanzielle Ausstattung und Unterstützung sind."
Minogue sprach allen Erkrankten ihre Solidarität aus und dankte allen, die sich im Kampf gegen die Krankheit engagierten.
Minogue hatte eigentlich geplant, die Veranstaltung selbst zu besuchen. Ärzte hatten ihr von dem Besuch aber abgeraten, so Minogue. Eine Sprecherin der "Cancer Research UK" sagte, die Absage Minogues sei völlig überraschend gekommen.
Bei der 37-Jährigen war im Mai Brustkrebs diagnostiziert worden. Derzeit muss sie sich einer Chemotherapie unterziehen.

The awards will be announced on Sunday 23rd October in Sydney.

The official 2006 Kylie Calendar, featuring 13 fabulous Kylie shots, is published this month by Danilo.

Kylie, the blockbuster exhibition, now has its own online gallery on the Arts Centre's website and can be viewed for free via www.theartscentre.net.au.
This major new initiative by the Arts Centre's Performing Arts Collection contains images of all costumes displayed during the Melbourne exhibition with information, captions and images of Kylie. The Collection can be navigated via themed area, designer, year and even colour of costume!
The website contains a news section where fans can keep up to date with the latest Kylie Collection happenings, including new tour venues and the latest costume donations made by Kylie. Fans can also view videos of Kylie visiting the collection and backstage in concert.
The Arts Centre's Chief Executive, Tim Jacobs says "With an acclaimed touring exhibition, a major published catalogue and now a leading edge online presence, the Kylie Minogue Collection has set a new benchmark for the Arts Centre. It provides a great foundation for our new Icon Series of performing arts exhibitions celebrating other great performers, beginning in late 2006. It also enables more people to access the performing arts and discover what the Arts Centre does."
Kylie exhibition curator, Janine Barrand says: "Kylie has fans all over the world so it was very important for us to have the Kylie Minogue Collection online so everyone can enjoy it. This project forms part of a much wider initiative aimed at getting as much of the Performing Arts Collection online as possible."

The Arts Centre has created an exhaustive online resource which splits Kylie's costumes and memorabilia into four fantastic collections - Music & Videos, Tours, Performances and Red Carpet.
As well including a wealth of images of Kylie's iconic costumes, each section details the designer of the piece in question as well as providing information about the fabrics that were used to create it.

Congratulations to Toby Gough, producer of "Children Of The Sea" which won first prize at the Edinburgh Festival this week. David Gritten, for The Telegraph, writes "Children of the Sea, a version of Shakespeare's Pericles loosely adapted to address itself to the aftermath of the tsunami that caused widespread death and appalling destruction last Boxing Day.
Its young stars, a dozen teenage girl dancers, were auditioned and recruited from communities on the south and east coasts of Sri Lanka that were devastated by the disaster... It's hard to think of a show that better exemplifies the generous, international spirit that led to the creation of the Edinburgh Festival in the first place."

Kylie took time out from her own recovery to visit cancer victims at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne today.
Whilst this visit was always in Kylie's schedule, but of course had to be postponed, it now it takes on a new significance as Kylie makes a very special effort to show her solidarity with the children.
It was so great to see her bring a smile to the faces of the children.
In the meantime Kylie's own doctors have still not given her the go-ahead to reschedule any Showgirl Tour dates.
