Danielle Jane Minogue was born on 20th October 1971 in Melbourne, Australia, the youngest of three children. (Nickname: Danstar, Queen Of The Clubs, Disco.)


Family: Her mum, Carol, was a dancer with a ballet company before she married Dannii's dad, Ron. Her older brother, Brendan is a TV cameraman, and we all know who her sister, Kylie is.

Dannii's second UK single Success enters the charts at number 21, and peaks at number eleven two weeks later. Dannii signs to star in a feature film entitled Secrets, (announced at the Cannes Film Festival). London's Radio One and Fast Forward magazine award Dannii with No 1 Woman of the Year.

Dannii's album, after considerable remixing, is released in Europe and Asia, and retitled, Love And Kisses. In the UK, it peaks at number 8. Dannii films her first feature film, an Australian production entitled Secrets, featuring the original music of The Beatles.

Jump To The Beat is released in the UK as Dannii's third single release, peaking at number 8.

Dannii embarks on an extensive promotional tour of South East Asia, resulting in top ten hits in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taipei and the Philippines. After two months in the UK top 40 the album, Love And Kisses goes Gold.

Jump To The Beat, Dannii's debut release in the US is released. The launch of the single is at a reception held in her honor attended by a host of personalities including Mike Tyson and C&C Music Factory.

Dannii performs at the Cesme Music Festival in Turkey. Dannii is also honoured to record the track Show You The Way To Go for N.M.E's charity album Ruby Trax. Royalties are donated to the British Spastics Society.
